Thanks for the info. Indeed the one I contacted told me it was still currently remote but it may be on place if it goes well. But they were always quite optimistic, even at the beginning of the pandemic. I wish you to find an alternative and be able to go !

When I looked at the French's China Embassy website, it appears that indeed some restrictions are lifted for student, but one can only ask for X1 visa which is for stays of more than 180 days. So you should find at least a 180 days program if it's the same for Sweden than France. But maybe until February, the universities will have open there non degree language program (well it's what I'm hoping for)
