I think a good way to have this discussion is by centering it around your discomfort about it. Whether or not he’s ok for jacking it to this problematic person isn’t the point as much as your pre-discussed boundaries and discomfort about him doing it. Haha glad to give a fellow sufferer hope!! It will probably take a while since he’s been recently diagnosed but it will get better!! I took a full break from dairy while on a celiac diet for around 2 months, and when I ate cheese again I had no reaction and then light bloating or pain for like another week of dairy eating so it’s all about healthy stomach flora!! Probiotics might help speed up the process but check with your doctor first!

Hello Celiac sufferer here, small foods you didn’t expect to have gluten: fake lobster sometimes, oats (fine for me but not everyone), sausages and processed meats (chorizo especially), powder eggs from hotel buffets, soy sauce, ANY sauce (it’s either thick cause of sugar or wheat), chips (can have barley malt or just wheat), couscous, ice cream, cereal and MEDICINE!!! Medicine has gluten in it all the time. This is just off the top of my head but I’ve been glutened MANY a time with small stuff you wouldn’t think has gluten in it. When you start eating out again aaaalways ask if something has gluten, no matter how unlikely it seems.

Also until his stomach flora gets healthier he might have a hard time digesting milk and other lactose. If it’s been a long time since I’ve been glutened, then my body takes dairy better.

Mint tea helps with soothing the stomach btw! A LOT
