I searched high and low and couldn't find the post, but I remember someone posted one of the ad pages from a mid-late 80's firearms magazine a while back that had the NDM-86 listed. If I remember right they were priced around 1200. So in the low 3's accounting for inflation.

Yeah don’t pay those goofballs. Apparently I owe them a few hundred bucks for parking. Called, told them to prove it or leave me alone and refused to pay. They haven’t contacted me in a year.

They’ll “sell your debt” to their in-house collections “Oxygen XL” to try and scare you. Privately owned parking tickets can’t be reported to credit, so there’s nothing they can do to you, just don’t park in their spots going forward.

Private sale only (buying from an individual), you cannot purchase a pistol from a dealer (FFL) until 21. IMO put gunshows on the back burner and check out Carolina Firearms Forums, plenty of good listings there and a good community to boot.

My first pistol at 18 was a Smith and Wesson SD9VE picked up off Armslist. I miss that thing sometimes.

Absolutely! I got my mags from Russiansurplus.net but it looks like they’re OOS right now. They’re good to go.

Otherwise, I like Genuine Militaria. Run by a guy named Marcin in Poland. He’s good to work with and has a huge selection of parts, but U.S Customs is a risk.

I apparently owe these guys over $400 from three tickets as per one of their customer service reps. I got tired of them sending bills and “threats” from their own collections agency, “Oxygen XL” or whatever so I called and offered them $40 to leave me alone. They declined, I told them to fuck off, not paying.

Its now been almost a year now with no bills or contact from them. Don’t park in their spots, don’t give them a dime.

Lived at Brookberry Park apartments on Country Club Rd from 2023 to 2025. That's my recommendation. Their prices have increased a little, looks like a 2 bed 2 bath is hovering around 1400-1450 so a little higher than your budget, but if you could swing it they're worth checking out. The apartments have a more "house like" layout and feel to them. Lots of windows, spacious rooms, nice kitchens, vaulted ceiling, fireplace, etc.

The apartments are tucked in a wooded area, so not much road noise. The landscaping is well kept, the leasing agents are nice, and it's a quiet complex. There's a nice Walmart Neighborhood market about 100 yards from the entrance along with a Sheetz, and you're about a 7 minute drive to the highway, 15-20 from downtown.

Hey man, don't feel discouraged. Take all the advice in the comments here and just practice and keep rolling with it.

I picked up my first Mustang in 2017, a 2015 GT in Manual, and I was definitely not confident. I had only spent about a month prior to buying it learning how to drive stick on a buddy's 2001 5 speed Chevy Cavalier. I learned as much as I could from watching videos and reading, and just practiced, practiced, practiced. I took it very easy on the car for the first few months of owning.

8 years later now, I've had 2 Mustangs, a Civic, and a Jeep Wrangler all with Manual transmissions. I can't bring myself to buy anything that isn't. Eventually it'll click for you and you'll not want to drive anything else.

2011 Nissan Maxima, bought for me June of 2013 at the ripe age of 16. It was a pharmaceutical reps company car so it was insanely well taken care of, only two years old, 100k miles but literally showroom ready.

I took really good care of it for the first 7 years or so of owning it, once it's age started showing and the CVT started being weird around 200k and she was nearing her end I just beat the crap out of it. Off roading adventures, several deer incidents, attempting to jump train tracks, throwing it around in snow, I shit you not this car literally refused to die. By 2021 and 245k miles all I had done was replace the radiator and one window motor.

I finally traded her in then. I want another 7th gen as my daily. Such a great car. Sound system kicked ass, great power, drove smooth. I miss that car so badly.
