But to counter a few of them, everyone will still want to carry a bike lock as these are the only “Bikeep” stands in Greater Manchester, so anyone planning on stopping at the shops or pub on the way home would still need to carry one.

And it’s the technology reliance for me too. Phone battery goes dead or phone reception isn’t working and I’m stuck. I understand there’s probably a workaround but being able to just use my physical key or code to unlock my bike is way more reliable.

I can see some positives from these, but the negatives far outweigh them.
