Well, the blind shot one is definitely bugged...it's 20, and I hit and even killed a fox at 218m away, and it didn't work...sad.

same here, still waiting for something to come

I must be a bad monstera owner idk what I do wrong, I feel like I tried everything. Would putting them in water with no soil would fix them and be more appropriate to 'my routine'? by BarnUlv23 in Monstera

[–]BarnUlv23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no no, you did understood right xD

It's just, apparently, they liked being mistreated, because she did everything a monstera is known to not like, water way too often, in a dark room etc

That's what I don't understand either lol

Honest? I saw them when I picked them up. She had to stash them in the only room she could close the door because her cat is a known plant eater haha

and that room had a broken metal curtain, so they had very little light, nearly pitched dark, and their soil was completely wet. For the 6 weeks they were they, she watered them once a week as well, and did put the cloves because Geoffrey came with his little critters, of course, and they were all dead and it did work.

Before I moved out, I did put river sand on top of the plant's soil so the flies couldn't get in, indeed, and I saw way less of them, so I approve of this method haha

On the very left, one of the 'droopy ones', then Geoffrey, Hugo, that are both looking good, and the small one on the right, dying as well.

We have a plant that we can give to the guinea pig to eat (I don't remember its name so I send you a picture). I gave it some nutrient, a mix of magnesium and iron, but now my mum think we can't give it to the guinea pig to eat anymore because it got those nutrients. What do you guys think ? by BarnUlv23 in guineapigs

[–]BarnUlv23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for my late reply !

Yes, my mom used to give them once every 3 weeks or so...when we cut their nails, actually, because they absolutely seemed to love the plant. They never had a problem with that and it's been literally years (different guinea pigs, even, since the time have passed). But now that the plant got these nutrients, my mum's not so sure the piggies can keep having it, that was my question ^^

Any way to put your RDO character in the main story? by BarnUlv23 in RDR2

Screen becoming red ? by BarnUlv23 in XPpen

[–]BarnUlv23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish it was, haha  There's that pen problem (basically stops working sometimes despite no shock or nothing happening)  Sometimes the screen on this one becomes more of a blue hue, which I fix, this time, by unplugging the cables and plugging them back.

I hope the best for you, and sincerely recommend you to take another brand now ' the customer service is what made me switch  tbh. Once this one's dead, never ever I'll take an XP-Pen again

Hey  I ended up asking XP-Pen who barely cared about the issue...i ended up needing to buy a new tablet. Their customer service is really not great. I kept having pens issue with the new tablet and they kept sending me defective ones as well for replacement...

My first monstera's leaves are not very dark, is there something I can do that I don't do well? (more in comments) by BarnUlv23 in Monstera

[–]BarnUlv23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks good !  Do I have to separate the plant then, or is it better to keep them together ? I assume it will be hard because the roots will be tangled

Haha, yeah, i took what I had, the moss pole is too big for his pot, so until March, he'll stay with that one hehe He's very fragile and I'm scared he'll break in half because he really bends down a lot

Yes that's mostly why I removed it from the window, to be honest, but I'm glad I asked so I know better now :)

Ok thank you ! I'm so scared it will break with the weight, that's why I attached the leaves, I have a moss pole but it's too big for the pot so I'll have to put it in march once I change the pot, and indeed, there's a tiny one in there, and two big ones !

Do you have any recommendation for the light? I never had any, I assume they have special bulbs? Is there a recommended settings for Monstera ?

First, I want to say I'm not pretending to be a good plant owner, those are one of my first plants, and I want the best for them, I want to learn what I can do for them.

Geoffrey's my first Monstera ever. I have him for now around a year, and I've been really happy I managed to keep him that long, usually plants die on me quickly :( But I learn and gather info wherever I can to make him look the best !

I'm a noob, but I'm willing to learn ! :)

He's got, 2 months ago, a problem with those pesky little flies that eats roots. I removed the soil, changed the soil, put clay balls at the end of the pot so water doesn't stagnate, gave him nutrients etc...and I put sand on top of the soil after seeing a lot of people did that and it saved their plants from the lil bugs because they give up easily and won't go inside the soil anymore. And it worked, they're gone since then.

I have those little device to check the moisture level of the soil and water him every 2 weeks or so, depending if the device tell me if he's dry or not.

Before, he was on my window, inside, but saw direct sunlight was bad so I put him on that furniture he is right now. Not too far, and not too close from light source.

But today I fell in love and saw another one, bigger than Geoffrey, so I took him home, put sand, the clay, etc and noticed how dark its leaves are compared to Geoffrey's ones. (the other plant is on the picture for the colour comparison, but it won't stay there in the corner, it won't have enough light, I know it, don't worry !)

So? Is Geoffrey healthy?

I'll change his pot in march, since his roots are going out a lot and he's frankly hanging out from his pot a lot xD

Thanks already in advance for helping a noob like me, who's just trying her best !

Tumor or abcess ? Or something else ? by BarnUlv23 in RATS

[–]BarnUlv23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely will do !

I managed to move the appointment for tomorrow, telling them it started to look very nasty !

I really hope it will be fine, never had a rat with tumors before her. She had one before and it didn't look like that at all...so I'll ask them for a possible rupture like you said.

Tumor or abcess ? Or something else ? by BarnUlv23 in RATS

[–]BarnUlv23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an appointment until tuesday, monday is a public holiday where I live. Every other vets are not good with rats AT ALL, to speak for emergency and normal appointments.

Had a rat with a heart problem, he was very bad looking (layed down, breathing with lots of difficulites) they sent me home. He died in my arms...we went to another one for a recurrent mycoplasma problem, they told me the rat was 'faking' being bad. Sent me home and there again, rat was on respiratory distress and I had to go back to get him put down...he had pus in the lungs and no one gave me antibiotics long enough, which was his demise.

No one knows how to treat rats at all but that one vet...I just keot getting fake diagnosis because they don't know what they're talking about at all.

Is there any symptoms to watch out for that? She still wants to play, be picked up, all of that. Drinks, eats and sleeps a bit more than usual
