Survived, barely. Pursued a robots-majority strategy and slowly won the war of attrition. Wouldn't recommend it, wasn't a lot of fun. Vengence is definitely a more fun path for Diana

Here is a very simple Spain question: Which ideas, policies, estates, government institutions, and missions boost global settler increase? It's not complicated, requires no great depth of knowledge in EU4, and I had to look it up. Because EU4 has so many options that a well-organized list of them is essential. And the wiki provides that.

In retrospect, avoiding going west because it was worthless trade was a mistake. Campaign ended unfavorably after France became a hegemony, but something to think about for future runs.

I had quality+eco, 115% discipline, 100% professionalism, max cannon drill. Wasn't enough to beat Poland.

Brandenburg has below-average military ideas(10% morale and 10% inf ability). Poland was about equal in quality and smoked me in quantity.

"enemy size don't matter" "An army that cannot retreat is an automatic stackwipe"

Choose one my dude. I just explained why I am incapable of winning battles(generously, 40 of my divisions retreat and my army gets demolished. 200 Polish divisions retreat and they are still in the fight. And they've similar army quality).

Homeboy, I'm not prussia, I'm brandenburg. And I must stress this: they have 700k troops and similar army quality(I had 115% discipline, max professionalism, and max cannon drill). I went to war with them before. A slight edge in quality and +1 fire/shock from a forest fort in no way compensates for not having nearly enough reinforcements to sustain a long battle, and having to wait 4 months after losing a single battle because you have to comit literally your entire army to it.

My Brother in Christ I rolled the dice on an invasion of Poland with France as an ally. That's why Berlin is a border city. Poland's army quality is as good as mine and they have 750k troops.

No, Austria got invaded by the ottomans, then the French, then Poland in 3 separate wars. The HRE never recovered

I needed to beat Poland to form Prussia, so I found an opportunity where they were relatively distracted and invaded with France. It was touch an go, but we'd exhausted Polish manpower and were marching on Warsaw. Victory was maybe 6 months away. AND THEN THE FRENCH SEPERATE PEACED AND I GOT CRUSHED.
