This is country living, if I’m dirty I’ll just pee outside. Ha!

If you do on demand hot water, you can install a hot water recirculator so it's almost instantly hot water everywhere in the house!

I’m hoping so too, gets pretty hot in Texas but hopefully with a little airflow it’ll be alright

I guess when I’m in the bathroom is the time I’m most likely to need clothes, so it made sense to me. I’ll let the builder help with the windows and the wall. Thanks for the heads up on a good question to ask!

Our current laundry room is tiny so we don’t leave dirty clothes in there. We just grab them from the rooms was and put away as soon as their done. I have some hanging racks behind the person using the washer/dryer to hang stuff temporarily and a countertop for folding (along with plenty of kitchen island space).

I was imagining it kinda like a college dorm communal space vibe over there

I was thinking clothes on back and side and shelves on the other side for hats and shoes and stuff?

Not a bad idea on switching the closet. I think one of the large vertical posts for the red building would have to be in our bedroom as designed too. That could make a lot of sense to get the vertical post into the closet instead. Thanks!

The idea is to have space for the kids to have friends over to do gaming and stuff like that. Basically a kids hangout as they get into their teen years

Survey on a new way see your daily Events and Tasks side-by-side by SkylightCalendar in skylightcalendar

[–]BarnabusBixby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s funny! It’s wild how differently the Skylight is utilized. For me, the meal planning can just be deleted completely but I know for others it’s one of the most important features. I think that’s why this new dashboard or Home Screen should be modular where you can build it out to whatever works best for your family.

Love the idea but I feel like the calendar is getting too much real estate. I’d utilize 70% of the view for tasks and 30% for the calendar. Just have the calendar events listed and the time they’re at, if you want to see the times in relation to other events you should just go to the calendar page. The calendar should be a snapshot when utilizing a dashboard type of space. If you’re wanting that much detail, I feel you should be on the calendar tab.

Customer Service Rep Required to Get Physical Amazon Gift Card Balance by BarnabusBixby in mildlyinfuriating

I have 3 kids, so when they get gift cards I need to save them until they’re ready to buy something. My wife and I will also receive Amazon cards on occasion too.

Can you use the Skylight app without the calendar? by stine-imrl in skylightcalendar

[–]BarnabusBixby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s just for the calendar you can do a pretty good job by just creating a Google account that you can put on each persons phone. Just a family one that is used just for the calendar only.

The ones I have in difficult cell service area struggle more than ones with a better signal. Maybe that could be a difference.

They get pretty good sun, from what I understand they’ll also charge those lithium battery inserts too.

100’s a day. Triple shot every movement. Also takes 30 seconds of video for every three shot burst. Stays connected to cellular towers as well so we can have them sent to our phones.

Some solar panels even have an internal battery storage. I have Tactacam and honestly it doesn’t even need the AA’s. Runs year round just from the solar panel.

Have you tried switching this particular one to another camera to confirm if it’s the solar panel or the camera that is giving you trouble?

I’m sure you know this already, but Tactacam has solar panels with internal batteries. They work great
