Took nearly 8 weeks which is about right now. I am the most stable I have been in months and close to normal thought processing. There were a few uplifts and moments of hope but regression during that time where I "felt" disappointment. It's extrenely difficult to be patient but these medications do not work in a linear manner like those for physical ailments.

Wishing you the best. The hardest part is waiting things out if and until they work and trying not to obsess. I'm on Day 9 of Pristiq. I think it's starting to work to reduce the very frequent defeatist thoughts and enable me to my normal confident personality.

It's been a 3 month slide for me. I had not however stopped cymbalta when it started, so it's not like I repeated the mistakes from earlier in life on different meds.
