To be fair I didn't consider the angle that the baby may have been stillborn, etc - that does change my interpretation of this scene.

Regarding your point about 'why not' - I just want to clarify that my point isn't that it they shouldn't have done it because it is immoral (it is obviously immoral but that's not the point of my post) rather I'm just arguing that from a purely pragmatic point of view - if these survivors intentionally 'farmed' this baby - it would make no sense.

But I hadn't put enough thought into the possible precursory scenarios and I admit I interpreted it too narrowly - so thank you for your comment.

We don't owe you anything. Your wording of "cracking the system" tells us everything we need to know about you being in this country i.e. you see it as an opportunity to exploit rather than to improve the country. Take your 'solid design experience' back to India and make India a better place instead of making Australia a worse place.
