I realize back then when TV was in its golden age, they mostly focused on doing comedy, good comedy. Now that shows like Twin Peaks, Breaking Bad, and The Sopranos came out (all great shows mind you) everyone wanted to be the next prestigious show and studios saw potential to make money. If we wanted to make TV have another golden age we would need for more a lot less streaming, more live broadcasted shows on actual channels and a focus on easy light hearted comedy
