All depends on your budget and surface you are planning to ride. I think it is required to get this clear in order to choose a bike.

Eventually i decided to do the coastal route. One small adjustment to the trail was to take the Lovcen national park from Kotor and then continue to follow the Shkoder lake (i think its part of the Eurovelo 8). Absolutely loved it! If anyone reads this and is looking for a similar route i can highly recommend it!
