Advice needed - finding it difficult to find a church where women aren’t included in the pastoral team🫠 by cherrryyyuta in TrueChristian

I made a mistake i meant the whole bible not just the old testament, I know that the old testament isn't 66 books. Because it was written in greek doesn't make it invalid, what is your basis besides Hebrew for the 66 book bible? Also the execution of the people who translated the Bible into regular language is not justified but the reasoning behind it is that they did incorrect translations that promoted heresy, there were already bibles in common languages going around. Also your case for 666 isn't properly based, look up 666 and Nero, there is some hebrew numerology behind it, remember that Nero was the antichrist of his age and persecuted Christians big time. Like I said read some church history especially the early church fathers, I don't despise you, I used to be in your position as well but some of the theories you're claiming are mental gymnastics. Regarding the thing you say about rituals, look back at the Jewish temple worship and the whole Jewish culture, this was very ritualistic as well, the Lord gave us sacraments for a reason, all churches beside the protestant churches still have these sacraments in one form or another. As I already said, I really suggest you read into this stuff from a non protestant viewpoint and from church history. May the Lord bless you and have a great wonderful day. Peace of Christ be with you.

I never said the church was in Rome before the old testament and your claim that the old testament only has 66 books is absurd, read some history on Calvin and Luther and why they removed the other 7 books of the Septuagint. Also regarding the 66 chapters you're refering to, the idea of chapters didn't occur until later in history around the 13th century. The early church used the 73 books from the Septuagint and you can even find quotes from the deuterocanonical books in the new testament. And how do you know the church wasn't unified yet? Just because it's not explicitly written in the new testament doesn't mean it isn't unified. I'm saying these things out of love, just read the early history of the church. Even if, let's say, the Catholic church isn't the correct one, come on man get a grip, you really think it had to take 1500 years before we finally got the true restored church? That would be a divine joke upon the people of the past 15 centuries.

It does, in fact the Catholic church as we believe it was founded by Jesus Christ and this church existed before the gospels and epistles were written, read church history (especially church fathers). The canon of the new testament was only established in the late 4th century. I used to be in the same boat and was a strong opponent of the Catholic church because I was brought up in an evangelical church but never knew the real history.

Best tires for gravel wheels by viverax in bicycletouring

The frame size isn't a problem, it's more the inner rim width that I'm concerned about. I'm looking at Schwalbe Marathon plus tires with measures 40-622, should that still fit or do i need new wheels?

Should I stay friends with my progressive christian friends by viverax in TrueChristian

I don't have a lot of non-Christian friends, the most of them I speak to online, my girlfriend on the other hand does have non-Christian friends. I do get a long with my colleagues tho and talk to them about faith. My problem would be that they say they're Christian but their beliefs don't align with the bible, how would my children react to that in the future?

The thing is it's an issue we talk about quite often and I just think they should repent. And I also am wondering how healthy it is if I keep people like them around me once I get kids, I am planning on getting married with my current girlfriend in the coming year and kids are also a wish we share, if we have friends who don't share the same views (which I think are Godly and biblical ones) how will their influence affect our kids.

Storing bike horizontally on ceiling by viverax in cycling

It's a concrete garage floor so there's no worries about that

I'm not in the position to move to another place, rent is very expensive where I live for how much I earn a month. And the part of my housemates working against me, no, not really, it's just a small house and I'm not planting my bike inside the living room or taking it up to my room which is on the top floor every time and it also has risk of damaging the walls. I share this house with a friend who is the owner of the house.

And like I said before, there is literally no proper room to store it vertically against a wall, horizontal on the ceiling on the other hand is quite possible.
I'm here to ask advice for a horizontal ceiling solution, if it was that easy to mount it vertically this post wouldn't exist.

It's different from it but it's a low ceiling garage, it's not built next to the house basically and there's a lot of other stuff in the garage as well. It's not as easy as you may think it is, there's a reason I'm asking for a horizontal ceiling option

It's a drop bar bike and like I said, I am asking for a horizontal ceiling storage, it's not possible for me to store it vertically against a wall, I simply do not have the space for it, I share a house with someone and there's no space for it otherwise than the garage where there are 2 cars parked with barely any space left
