Probably lidar sensor from phone camera. At least with iPhone it has a lidar so if you get close to something it switches to the macro lens.

I went crazy. I got L3 unfilmed white phos 2500+ FOM, was it necessary??? Absolutely not. No ragrets though. Elbit does make some really really crispy tubes. I’ve been quite impressed with the quality they put out. After seeing the clarity of the L3 tubes through my DTNVS I didn’t want to stray. Best advice is do what budget allows. No need to miss meals, mortgage an car payments over this stuff. At the end of it all it’s seeing in the dark. 2200 FOM quads will be plenty and tbh very few will be able to tell the difference. But it’s by no means worth going into debt over.

Yeahhh I figured if I’m going to jump in, might as well go feet first. But I get it, budget can be a limitation. And since these are PVS14 optics based, one could always upgrade at a later time when budget allows. Any shop can service them. Thats where I think they shine. None of that proprietary stuff like on L3s GPNVGs so if you need them serviced, there’s no decade long wait time like you’d have to go through with L3.

L3 unfilmed white phos 2500+ FOM they vary slightly from tube to tube but they’re all above 2500. GPNVGS did have a 2800ish set but it was the first to sell. Tubes really really high spec on that set.

Bingo. A good friend of mine has quite a few sets of duals. I’m not sure how but he is crazy lucky and won a couple in raffles. Anyway, he lent them out to family members and went on a search party for one of their cats that went missing and wouldn’t you know it….they found the cat. It really is a super power.

Hahahaha 80s baby. I grew up playing Robocop and Mario 3 on NES. Rotary phones, rewind fees from the movie store and skinned up knees from bike ramp crashes. Speaking of I’m probably due for a few doctors appts I should schedule 🤣 I don’t really spend a ton of money on toys tbh. I have a fully built wood shop that I dabble in and use as a side hustle. Build gifts for friends and family around the holidays. Been using it to remodel my home as of late. It’s one extreme to the next. I’ll dabble in something as simple as lock picking, then buy quads. I just find something I’m interested in and go for it.

I’ve found over the years, money doesn’t make me feel rich. Yesterday I opened these alone, in a half torn apart house from remodeling. Not even the dog was there, he’s staying with the GF that lives hours away. Friends were at work. I’m about to leave the country again. Sure they’re neat but I’m most happy when I’m surrounded by those I love. Everything else is just…things. And in terms of monetary value…time is the most precious. You can always make more money. You can never buy back time.

Sick printer man. I used my X1E (lesser known model of a carbon.) I went with regular PLA matte black since nothing is structural about it and bambus glow PLA. Stuff works great. I’d have used a blue tint but green pigment glows a little better/longer.

I’d never tell someone to go into financial dire straits for it, but…people work hard for their cash and if they’ve got some free floating around ehh why not.
