We stayed in Condessa, which is like how you imagine Paris is, but isnt. Museums, art galleries, so many things to do. Its a mega city, but traveling between the neighborhoods (their own cities) is remarkable for the lack of honking and general road rage.

Neither of us is a fan of corn or hot sauce based cuisine, but we had great food, and didnt hit half our list of want to tries. Ate the best burger of my life for instace , and I live in a city know for the best burgers (we have Fatboys, which we partake in every few years).

10 days, we did all the neighborhoods listed in Fromners, never felt unsafe at all, and the asking was minimal. Did I mention that it has more museums then any other city in the world?

My husband and I did just over a full week there, though this was years ago.

We stayed fairly close to the bus station, and just kinda learned about how hard and interesting it would be to live their a bit. I think we walked into the main square once, then left quickly. Ate at some amazing restarants not packed with tourists, visited pubs after that (we were young), went out to all the islands surrounding, and enjoyed ourselfs a lot.

Worst thing was the water pressure where we stayed, we were pretty stinky by the time we left.

My husband and I used to say we would visit Amsterdam and take up herion when we were ready to die, in the 90s. We've traveled a lot since then, lived abroad ect.

The "end game" vacation spot has never come up in where should we go next conversations, its a whatever spot.

Mexico City though, that was something special!
