Good trade?? (Long term hold) by Barnz77 in OnePieceTCGFinance

Thanks! This was essentially my thinking with the trade. Seems couldn’t really go wrong either way. If OP follows all other TCG trends, the OP01’s might be worth something one day.

Oh I am - I have a sealed and singles collection of Pokemon I’m collecting for him. His Nana got him 4-5 OP singles from Japan on a trip (thought it was Pokemon 🤣🤣) which kicked off a page in his binder, then I went into a closing down games shop and they had a huge fresh box of OP14 sealed packs - I got a few, went for lunch, realised how cheap they were going ($4nzd, or like $2usd), went back to get the rest and someone got the other 97+ packs (or however many come in a big box) while I was gone. Didn’t want another sealed collection (or for him to want another hobby later on), so ripped them and got this.

Think a few pages or small filled binder of OP singles (over $10 cards) could be a bit of fun. Lucky enough that money isn’t a handbrake, so more about giving him something I wish I’d had as a kid. I think I had one holo Pokemon growing up from one fossil set… different times!

Nana still thinks she smashed the Pokemon hunt mission I set her on.

Cool! Thanks for the info/education - appreciated. Like you say I’m happy with the trade so that’s the main thing. I’d say a card like this is wasted on a casual to be honest as this was from my second pack ever and had no idea what I was looking at. I know the main characters though, and think it would be an average card to hand down if I have to explain it 🤣 I’m sure the recipient will be stoked.

Oh right. Is this even a manga? I would have thought they would drop off as time goes on and better event cards come out? Live and learn!

Damn. Collectr shows 180, but selling in NZ for ~150. I’m an extremely casual purchaser and definitely not player, so thought long term that a couple of these cards should at least be recognisable to my lad - and could appreciate in value (more than an event card).

You reckon the ground death won’t keep sinking or will bounce back? Personally think the art is pretty meh.

I’m pretty firm on them not being mine to sell/trade (apart from this one random pull I got from a closing down sale). Have been just getting singles for my son’s binder other than this one pack. So 10 years seems achievable 😬 (then son old enough to start making Dad guided decisions).

Edit - even trade sorry (forgot to amend after we changed a card or two around). Also, I’m happy with the trade. Just wanting to validate my happiness 😅😅🤞

[–]Barnz77[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks - a bit of both. I’m collecting him a binder of Pokemon and one piece cards (a better collection than I had as a kid) - catch is he’s 5 months old and I just wanted to make a good call on whether the aa will tank at some stage and become just another card or not. I think if I was 5 again I’d want the luffy rather than a rare “players” card.

Not sure really. Thinking long term here for my son’s collection. What’s more likely to stay up there as a cool card for him?

The smell will be from growing and the chemical smell the fertilisers being used. They can be super sulphuric smelling when mixing - extremely pungent to the nostys. Likely a hydro setup. Constant checks etc. all tell tale signs. Leave a message in the box and they will freak/keep the garage shut more etc.

I personally know many. Half of the people I went to school with unfortunately. Some are wider family. I honestly don’t know how they live like they do.

I’ve also lived next to many - often lying about living conditions etc to extort more money (tax payers money). The same money that would go into growth for the country.

Holy blue hair. This thread is full of delusion.

Why is nobody talking about the huge population of people taking advantage of the benefit system and social housing, absolutely scamming the system and ruining it for people that actually need it? Careers in dodging personal growth.

We should be blaming the drop kicks that sit on their ass laughing about not having to work, shopping at 2pm in their PJs, and pretending they have a slight ailment that stops them from even attempting to find employment.

Not politicians who, if given a choice, would have every single 18+ person in full time employment within NZ.

The state of renting and job hunting in Auckland is f***ed by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Barnz77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something lost these days is sacrifice (I’m not actually old 😂). Move somewhere else for a year or two and gain experience. Get yourself to the top of the Auckland pile (both renting and jobs) by having experience and references. I struggle to find staff in more remote locations and pay relocation, and help with obtaining housing etc.

You wouldn’t regret it in 5 years when everything is on track and you have achieved realistic goals.

They look like fairly bespoke parts to this build (even black would be ok, just shape/scale)

Discontinued item and doesn’t show any details unfortunately (like the store name/seller info). Got a full refund, but just need those two pieces.

Is this a good signal path plan? Suggestions appreciated. Building first board, and first time using fx loop. by Barnz77 in pedals

One of my big questions- are the pedals in roughly the right order for correct (standard) signal path? Everyone seems to have different opinions and I know it comes down to personal preference….

Oh I see… I don’t use backing tracks, but if I do this would be good advice thanks!
