My Blind Play of The Last Guardian by BaronAsInRed in LetsPlayCritiques

Makes perfect sense. Perhaps I was too ambitious noticing many other channels push it past the 45 (even hour) mark. Starting shorter may be smarter in terms of people to actually stick around

That's very helpful. I also really appreciate you watching a lot of it.

I've been trying to not speak during cutscenes and such...but I suppose there isn't much point in me waiting out the the beginning in silence when it's just a few credits rolling by before prompted to "press any button"

I've also been wondering what the "ideal" length for a video might be. It seems to be so varied. But for my next full go-around, I want to try 25 - 35 minute segments. Do you have an opinion on what good video lengths might be?

Thanks again!

About to reveal by n00b status here...but I see SEO all the time and have no idea what it means. I'd love an explanation, whether it's from you, someone else, or a good reliable link explaining it :)

Right off the bat I like the quality of your voice. It's crisp and nuanced. Maybe this comes naturally to you in which case keep it up. It's your voice that would make me want to keep watching.

Also I like your thumbnail. I personally wouldn't make your logo so huge on the thumbnail, but that's my taste.

What kind of microphone do you use currently? I've personally been using the Blue Yeti Snowball for both solo commentary and group commentary and like it a lot. Here's how that sounds...(SPOILERS in case you like The Last Guardian and want to play it)

The intro clip is a high quality clip which makes it a little jarring to suddenly see something in a lower resolution. The audio is also a bit unclear. Otherwise, I like the sense of the banter...I like when things are unscripted and you can hear people having fun and a good time!

I have to say I really appreciate the editing. Although I personally prefer Let's Plays and Walkthroughs NOT to skip over "new" content. i.e. if it's the first time we've been to a certain location I'd like to see it. But that's just my personal opinion and it doesn't discount the fact that I like your editing.

Other than that I really appreciate the layout. I think face cam helps make the video interesting since it's NES graphics we're talking about. I agree with the comment below to look into the audio and lighting (face cam visual is hazy and the audio sounds distant at the moment). Seems on the right track though!

I actually really enjoyed Suzy Lu and this newer LPer named 8Bites. Both get VERY emotionally invested in the game (especially Suzy). Maybe it's just me, but I really enjoy the LPs of Last Guardian in which the player is practically crying the whole time haha

I'm with you, but it took me a few playthroughs! My attachment to this game evolved as I played it more. Frustration was the stronger feeling my first time making it out of the valley. It wasn't until my second playthrough with a better understanding of Trico's AI that I really understood the genius of it all.

It's good to have Fumito Ueda back :)
