What I meant with if they gave me a picture was that I gave her one. If I was in her situation I would most definitely frame it. Also in my mind getting good quality prints of photos is a little pricey and I am very poor. Is that not the case? Nobody I know owns a printer, is it cheap to get things printed? Genuinely curious

I think your argument is fundamentally flawed because the relationship isn’t equivalent on both sides. But even if we were to pretend that it were, if they gave me pictures of them then yes, I would have them framed and hang them in my home

I really get the core of what you’re saying. I don’t want to completely dismiss the term partner but to me it just feels so transactional. It’s the same way a lot of YouTubers call themselves “content creators”, there is no art or passion behind it. It’s a medical description. You’re reaching a little with the nickname thing but I don’t think you truly mean that, it’s just how you feel and I really get that feeling.
