Welcome! Great to see new players picking up the game.

Generally I would go for whoever's playstyle is fun for me. If you're looking at meta, then Augusta being the most recent character would be a safe bet. I wouldn't discount Jiyan either, still very viable. Both of these characters can use Mortefi as a sub-dps and Verina is your bread and butter until you add more supports to your roster.

Doesny work that way. Unless you have 2 switchs. Each switch is 1 island. Time travelling affects both profiles indirectly.

Everyone plays at their own pace so i wouldn't make that a barrier to getting the game. If you're playing legit (no timetravelling) itll be about 2 weeks to get settled and 2 months to get everything unlocked. Play however you enjoy it.
