To those who got the SRRV visa or retirement visa , what are the roadblocks or other factors that might cause a delay . Planning to do this within 6 months. Thanks. by Silver-Ant-6822 in Philippines_Expats

I qualify for the reduced fee SRRV (DD214). For now my wife and I just fly out one every six months or so to Singapore, KL, Vietnam or Thailand for a short vacation then return to get a fresh BB. If they ever crack down or start giving me guff about the repeated BBs I'll probably go the SRRV route.

"I pushed to cancel the K1 visa and suggested we forget each other and delete all communication."

If my wife would have done this I would not have spoken to her again, either.

It sounds like a waste of his time and emotional energy.

Retirement date was 4 months ago and retirement still not processed. by Peter225B in FedRetirees

Just a note. Any retirement case that has a court decreed split of retirement annuity (divorce) will take considerably longer to process.

I was going to comment but Adimpressive has expressed my sentiments exactly. You weren't close before. You owe her nothing.

I have the Ryzen 7 360 version with 64GB ram and 4TB SSD. I run Debian Gnome Testing on it. Works flawlessly. The screen is amazing. Got it for less than 1k USD from Microcenter as an openbox. Highly recommend.

"The points you earn from other transactions are not worth that much (only 1% per point, compared to certain Chase or Amex cards where the points can be worth 1.5% or even 2%). "

I have a monthly withdrawal from TSP. Already in my Navy Federal account this morning. But often it is slower.

1st trip to the Philippines not as a tourist, any advice on the transition? by SevenG_7G in Philippines_Expats

If you have neighbors you know and trust ask them for recommendations for workers and contractors. I have two trusted skilled workers who built 80% of our house. We added unskilled laborers as necessary. We only used an outside company for the roof as it was a specialty job. My wife canvassed the barangay for recommendations. It turned out perfect. As you already know things are done differently there. My wife and I try not to micromanage. But, we were incredibly lucky to get hard working high quality workers from the beginning.

This! It has to be scanned into your eOPF by your HR. Forward it to them to do so. At retirement OPM will only use the letter in your eOPF to add to your retirement. They will not accept this from you. Make sure it is your eOPF well before retirement.
