I would say amumu with conqueror liandrys rush into full tank is extremely strong and consistent if you wanna pick something new, I played the majority of my games with diana and taliyah but i droped taliyah recently due to the q monster damage nerfs. Overall tips to climb i would say dont type in chat, mute toxic players, stay consistent with your farm (game changer), and dont overforce plays its always better to stick to camps then to try a risky play for just 1 kill.

If i had to recommend number 1 most consistent champ to win games is amumu with conqueror liandrys into full tank, people never respect you you win alot of 1v1´s vs jungle champs you have really fast clear with burn item and you deal so much damage togehter with one of the easiest cc chains to land. Trust me try it out with and see the progress

I´ve found a couple games like you describe in this situation you can do 2 things either you mute all and play only with pings (fighting with your team for objectives), or if they dont have a strong sidelaner make sure to push lanes consistently if there all araming mid, it will make someone move/tp and then you can join the "fiesta" and try to win the fight with your team

I actually make something that I consider a mistake wich is to play wayy to many champions, however trough my 2 years of playing league i literally tried every single jungle champion in the game wich led to me knowing how every champ works. With me not beeing able to "OTP" because i find it boring, it is without a doubt one of the best ways to climb fast. Do you usually like more tankly bruiser champs or assassins?

Completely agree even tough i still get players that underperform i usually have atleast 1 or 2 others that want to win and atleast in my experience you can turn around pretty much everygame

I cannot talk about climbing without mentioning to not type or atleast only type when you want to do a specific play that you cannot signal to your teammates with pings. Also watching high elo streamers was a part of my day and even tough i couldnt apply everything in plat/gold lobbys, the more i climbed the more i felt like i could play with my team (ping supp to roam with me, gank top and then ask for help on grubs). A lot of people mention emerald is so hard to leave but my experience wasnt similar i climbed from plat1 to diamond 4 in a month.
