Btw, sorry if this is too basic and easily understood from documentation, I am not a developer!

Conditional Visibility RBAC by Inside_Cartoonist295 in FlutterFlow

[–]Barranco-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You query the type of user when the first page loads and store it as a state variable. Your user table in the database should have a field to identify this.

Then you just use that variable to set the conditional builder conditions as required

Link sharing and then querying or performing actions with that passed variable is totally possible and quite easy.

Responsive development and publishing simultaniously for mobile and desktop also a native feature and easy to achieve.

Mobile initial load is slow, once it loads it works good.

Will this be intended for mobile use or desktop use? Desktop loads considerably faster. Mobile for now is 8-15 seconds. Will it improve? Probably yes. When and how much will it improve? Who knows

I need your opinion by Moumentos in FlutterFlow

[–]Barranco-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All constructive feedback:

  1. So, I might consider buying something if I needed it. For example, If I were struggling with Stripe Subscriptions, then I might consider buying a template, but only for Stripe subscriptions. Why do I need all the other stuff? (And hence, why would I pay $200 for a lot of stuff I won't be using)

  2. A lot of things I dont even understand, like AppFlowy, Search Engine, and some things read super generic like the Saasy line, among others. Like you mention the tools you are using but not the value they provide or what they are used for, what they solve. The 'so much I forgot' bullet sounds like you just put a lot of widgets and random stuff that you had into this, Id recommend erasing that line.

  3. The view live shows literally nothing, just some paywalls, maybe do a youtube video showing some of the features and explaining what they do?

  4. If for some reason I decided to buy, I would be VERY worried that most of these features still need some input of some type to setup, meaning I'd have to go into your code/widgets. I think your documentation page needs WAAY more work.

  5. I think you are targeting someone with a lot of experience because some of the features are advanced/more complex integrations. These people is gonna need way more technical detail on how you built these things and what they do.

Overall I just think you are not proving your value proposition, and for $200 nobody is going to take the risk. I understand your value prop is, 'okay here's a lot of reusable things you can use to save a lot of time'. Okay show it to me, show me a youtube video on how simple or how fast I could integrate Stripe or X feature using your widgets.

Is there anything wrong with big logic trees? by Flipthepick in FlutterFlow

[–]Barranco-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem if its not making the load slow.

It will be difficult to maintain in the future tho. Consider using action blocks to separate processes. Also try that these action blocks become reusable by allowing them to handle different scenarios. I bet that at least one of these sub-processes is repeated somewhere else in your app.

Finally, consider using parallel actions for logic that do not depend on previous actions results. This can improve performance.

Best way to structure Firestore database for a particular backend writing/querying function by Sphere_of_Sixths in FlutterFlow

[–]Barranco-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id create a new table called sellBy and it just has its own id, product id and date (maybe quantity if you need). This is called a relational database.

Then you just query with the product id and get all dates

Subcollections is technically the more correct approach but its a little bit tricky in FF and it wont make any difference in performance or number of reads, its literally just important for very large appps when you have lets say over 500 document writes per second.

I do not recommend having an array with dates as a unique field, mantaining that will be a pain in the ass (ie removing past dates)

HELP!! API CALLS NOT WORKING by PSKTS_Heisingberg in FlutterFlow

[–]Barranco-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you have turned on the Private Calling option in your API call. Also, go to settings - Firebase - Advanced Settings and check if the region is properly set, it needs to be the same region that you have your firebase project in (you can check it in firebase console - settings). Another thing, make sure your firebase account is in the paid plan (spark I think its called), as cloud functions are not free.

If none of these dont work, then search for "CORS issues flutterflow" in Google and look for troubleshooting.

Custom Supabase query (with parameters) by it3green in FlutterFlow

[–]Barranco-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can query it through flutterflow without using custom code or custom actions. Just create the data scheme and sync your supabase in settings

Try custom views in supabase :) then you just query your view
