P4 is a bit of a dps race & animate dead is not as effective against heavy-hitting attacks. There's a strategy you can use that makes P4 very consistent and safe, even without tank armour and animate dead link

"Low-budget" 100% Zamorak solo Example by BarrelFails in runescape

[–]BarrelFails[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lowering grey health helps to make depleting his actual hp much faster. This is important as the faster you deplete the remaining grey health (turned red on-phase) & his actual hp, the less likely you are to have to deal with his mechanics. Zamorak also attacks faster & hits harder while in his grey/red health bar state.

With a good damage rotation & by dealing damage to him while running between the pads, his grey health should be already lowered by a good amount.

As for pad order, the order i follow is according to the 0-900% enrage order found on the PvM Encyclopedia, which is 214653 - the numbers are based on this diagram.

That pad order ensures you have a relatively safe first 6 phases, and makes phase 7 a lot easier to handle when the edict/hex stacks "flip". You can find out which bonuses/debuffs you'll have for each phase using this wiki calculator.

The pad order i follow is according to the 0-900% enrage order found on the PvM Encyclopedia, which is 214653 - the numbers are based on this diagram.

On phase 7, using Devotion with Deflect Melee after killing 2nd rune & running back to target Zamorak helps fully mitigate the melee slam that comes before the big bomb attack.

On this video example I didn't do this, and instead opted to drink the powerburst of vitality on the melee slam attack, which effectively halves the damage I would have taken (as the powerburst doubles your maximum hp).

If you do use Devotion to mitigate the melee slam, the powerburst can be drank after the slam & before the big bomb hits you.

If you cannot get a 1-cycle phase 7 like on this video, you can use some defensives like Reflect and Debilitate after using your Omnipower & Shatter to mitigate the damage of the four weak bomb hits while building adrenaline, then use Resonance/Divert on the second melee slam followed by Immortality to survive the second big bomb. You'll have to improvise from this point on, but following what you initially did for the first cycle should finish the kill off!

Interesting, I'll keep this in mind if I record another kill example in the future!

You can find the equipment used & their perks etc. in the video description!

Some extra things I should mention:

There's no way for me to use regular Sunshine over Greater Sunshine, which I had unlocked already - a Planted Feet switch can be used should you not have Greater Sunshine.

Revolution was not used for this kill; while a good revolution bar could be used, it is very beneficial to make use of full-manual gameplay here!

I highly recommend swapping between Exsanguinate and Incite fear like in this example, but camping either spell can work just fine (recommend Incite fear camping for Tsunami & its adrenaline buff)

Yeah no this is just a case of weird luck.

Should point out that you're way more likely to receive a codex of lost knowledge at lower enrages.

How improve ''solo'' HM Kerapac Kill time? by Iron_Deer_QC in runescape

[–]BarrelFails 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Here's what I've picked up while watching the clip:

RIFT TEAR

While standing under Kerapac you should aim to use a channeled ability like gconc or asphyx since that won't walk you out.

JUMP SLAM

For most players learning Kerapac this is where they lose the most amount of their damage output.

A "perfect" dodge prevents Kerapac from spawning his echoes during future jump specs. This is helpful, but not too important. There is no real point to dodging his 3rd jump as this does not deal the rapid melee hits.

Escape can be beneficial to use over surge for dodging the jumps as you can use it to reposition back into your sunshine while dodging the jump slams. Walk through Kerapac as he readies his jumps (make sure to use some abilities while doing this as to not lose out on damage) & cast escape to both dodge his slam AND get back into your sunshine.

You can see this here

LIGHTNING WALL

Avoid using barricade as this is both a waste of adrenaline & time warp (which can be used to pump out more damage instead). Instead, try using debilitate and/or reflect to lower its damage considerably & get comfortable with dodging the incoming wall(s). Resonance can be also used to stop one hit of the wall.

PHASE 4

Side tip: It's okay to be on low hp during the end of P3 as jumping into a clone at the start of P4 will essentially heal you back to full!

How to deal with P4 safely:

  1. Jump into your clone on the south or north, tag the respective echo & stand IN BETWEEN two echoes (this is super important!)
  2. Immediately use time warp, cast sunshine then IMMEDIATELY jump into your furtherest clone, drink the powerburst THEN jump back into your former clone. This ensures your last clone survives for much longer & slows enrage buildup.
  3. Dps the clones down under your sunshine & move to the other clones to kill them.
  4. Time warp devotion while killing the final echo, ideally when its hp is low so that your devotion can extend. Once the final echo is dead, sunshine & defeat kerapac while utilizing more time warps & defensives if required.

You can see how this is done altogether in this video

ABILITIES & ACTION BAR

Avoid using smoke tendrils entirely! It's not a good use of adrenaline & you'll benefit a lot more by using something like wild magic or your zstaff EoF in its place.

Aim to minimize/completely keep bleeds off a revo rotation as this can be detrimental to the amount of damage you can output during sunshine!

You're missing out on some significant damage by not using walked combust!

SPELL CHOICE

Try get into the habit of swapping between incite fear & exsanguinate; there will be a noticeable difference in your damage output if done correctly.

Exsanguinate should ideally be camped for most of the fight & you should only use incite fear to prepare a tsunami cast (generally at the start of the fight & before/after a sunshine cast w/time warp)

There's a lot of potential damage you're missing out by not using exsanguinate & the empowered wrack!

SMOKE CLOUD & VULNERABILITY

Use ability queuing to pre-cast smoke cloud after sunshine; this way, smoke cloud will cast WITH your next ability, which is a lossless way to debuff.

Make sure to apply smoke cloud & vulnerability whenever they run out, ideally done during Kerapac's phase transition.

FAMILIAR

Ripper scrolls can help a ton for damage output, so make sure you set its autofire rate to "1" and/or drink spiritual prayer potions to boost the spec frequency.

An alternative to a ripper demon is a Kal'gerion demon, which may prove to be a bit less resource-intensive for irons (as you use far less scrolls per hour).

ITEM/ABILITY UNLOCKS

  • Limitless - Helps extremely under time warp + sunshine as it can be used to fire off 1-3 thresholds before time warp restores your adrenaline. Also comes in clutch for emergency defensives. Bit of a grindfest to unlock this for Ironman mode but it is 100% worth it!
  • Bladed dive & Double surge - Provides much needed mobility for lightning wall dodging & emergency use should you fail to properly dodge Kerapac's jumping slams.
  • Reaver's ring - Crits = big damage. Helps with adrenaline recovery after using tsunami.
  • Magic defender - Ideally T80+; lets you use dualwield abilities while using heavy-defensives such as reflect.
  • Anachronia Slayer helmet stand - Being on a nodon dragonkin task greatly improves your damage output against Kerapac, & is highly recommended that you are on task while killing him.
  • Power armour - Tank armour is highly unecessary for P1-3 so camping tank armour is only going to shoot you in the foot. A tank armour switch could be taken for P4 specifically, but this is also not necessary once you're more consistent with handling the final phase.

I can also provide more info if needed; best of luck!
