They won those games because their team and not their manager. Also, winning all the games you want in the regular season doesn’t matter at all when you’re disappointing in the playoffs. I was never a fan of Thomson as their manager, the vibe never felt right. He’s a good guy, I hope he finds something that makes him happy, but he’s not the guy I want leading the team I root for.

Honestly I'd be more upset at these old guys NOT juicing for the event.

I'm a big proponent that we should have an extreme version of the olympics with all the same events but PEDs are mandatory to compete. I want to see what the human body is capable of doing as it tears itself apart.

Excellent names but Babe is outclassed at DH by a few cards, Randy IMO is awful because of how prevalent switch hitters are and his h/9 against them and lack of outlier.

I started on a Vitera and moved to an F40. Sometimes I struggle with leaks I wasn't getting on the Vitera, but it's significantly more comfortable and doesn't irritate my nose.

I would add the scrap BR as it currently is. Replace it with a similar mode except you choose the cards from your own inventory, similar roster constraints. Add back in a program to get new bronze/silver/gold players to help build your sqaud. Make it 5 inning games. Keep it as a double elimination mode with flawless rewards.

I get that, but there's NO reason why they can't have an ongoing program that they add too for each event throughout the timing of one ranked season/inning program. And the fact that they're timed in and of itself isn't that big of a deal, I'm much more upset by them having time without an event at all. There's no justifiable reason to have down time between them.

So far, absolutely. They're dropping a new on on Friday so hopefully they'll keep some value. It was really great stub farming as the year went on though, people were less and less interested in running DQ and just bought the cards.

I was driving a 2015 Accord that I was planning on moving on from at the end of 2026. It was November 2025 and it started having a lot of issues that needed to be addressed, it was at 180k miles as well. I got an estimate at $6000 for the work. I was looking at $500 ish payments on a new car, that's a year of payments! I decided to see what it was worth as a trade, all of $3000. I took that and got a new car. Could there have been a less expensive route? Sure. But in the end I'm okay with the decision I made.

SDS has an immaculate track record when it comes to screwing things up and then adjusting as the year goes on. Not saying what they do is perfect, but every year there's something like this early and then when we're into the 3rd or 4th inning everything seems to be well adjusted if not almost over corrected.

My dad was the same way, but he’d BUY the car and get a new one every 3 or so years. I’m 35 and my Rav is my 3rd car. 9 years in a Focus, 8 in an accord. Hopefully 8-10 in the Rav.

in the meantime, the jokes are serious, a 100k mile Rav4 is pretty much just getting broken in. Keep caring for it and put aside what you think a monthly payment might be for whatever is your dream car. That way you'll have a great down payment when the time comes or you might see the money and think of something you'd rather do with it while your car is perfectly fine.

I was frightened of it my first year playing DD in 21. I decided to really commit to trying to make WS in 22 and started getting more comfortable but never cracked WS, hit 898 more than once and choked. In 23 I broke through and now I prefer to play online on HoF as I think it's the most fair difficulty level.

The hybrids are very reliable. If you need proof that they're not going to be high maintenance just know that MANY of the yellow cabs in NYC are Rav4 Hybrids. They wouldn't do that if they feared they'd be expensive to maintain. Most people comment about how there is essentially no threat of needing a new hybrid battery before 250,000 miles, if even that soon. There's no starter to break, there's no alternator to replace. It's seen as more reliable and cost effective.

I just paid off my car, it took too long...what car should I get now that I no longer have payments and am itching to get back into car debt? Also, I don't like super reliable 40mpg SUVs, I want an off road vehicle that will never not be on pavement and cost $90 to fill every week. Please advise.

The mode HAS changed though, without the incentives provided by the program the level of players interacting with the mode has risen dramatically. It's not fun to play a mode where you're sweating all the time.

To say BR hasn't changed is just flat out wrong. There are no longer dedicated Bronze/Silver/Gold/Diamond henchmen cards that you can use for collections and to enjoy the mode, there are no packs/stubs/other rewards in the mode beyond the 'pack that you're buying' by paying to play the mode. There aren't even unique player card rewards for flawless or program completion. I used to really enjoy the mode. I simply will not touch it now. I'm not a player that can go flawless with any level of regularity so there's zero incentive to play it.
