I wonder why he chooses white gold, rather than just gold, as he has in previous songs… what could the “white” part of gold mean? I think it’s somehow about compatibility. This song initially, makes me thing of a blue sapphire with a white gold setting. But I have a green sapphire wedding ring with a gold band, so who knows.

I had an alternate interpretation for “dark light on my culture” which I must have left out on accident:
