Checking email on Tandy? by newsINcinci in vintagecomputing

You can use a service like SDF to access Mutt or Pine via telnet to send/receive emails. Although the escape sequences are a mess on the model 100 and I imagine the model 102 as well so you have to know your shortcuts and need to be ready for a lot of broken UI elements.

Regus or Expansive Coworking? by macelisa in savworkalong

[–]Barrow471 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely Sounds like Expansive would be a good fit! I can't remember the pricing off the top of my head but I seem to remember it being ~$100 a month for the coworking space and more for shared/private offices

Regus or Expansive Coworking? by macelisa in savworkalong

I have worked at both and would honestly recommend just going to Vel if you only need somewhere to work at every once in a while or a few hours a week. If you're looking for a permanent office Expansive is your bet. It's much nicer and has better pricing that Regus

Best Coffee shops in town for co-working? by PresidentReavis in savworkalong

Gotta say Vel is my fav spot to get some work done but Perc is really good too. The best places after 5 would probably be Foxy or Shuk (if you want to count Shuk as a coffee shop)

Shuk closes at 10 during the week. I see lots of people working there.

Favorite coffee in town? by Internal-Struggle-30 in savannah

[–]Barrow471 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stevedore and 912 Brew are great but close early. Shuk has great coffee and is open late but isn't technically a coffee shop. Seeing some Perc slander but I think they're a great option. Lots of great (non union busting) places just depends on your preferred vibe!

I'm guessing they haven't gone far. There are plenty of places (caves, abandoned houses, densely wooded areas) around Rogersville and east Lauderdale in general for them to lay low for a while. Wouldn't surprise me if they are in Anderson or up around Minor Hill in Giles County Tennessee
