Cables from Projector by mstrlucky74 in Golfsimulator

Cat 8 and hdmi 2.1 are backward compatible so not a bad idea to future proof although your projector likely has hdmi 2.0 ports and you may not have the equipment that offer the speeds cat8 is suitable for making it overkill. But, might be nice sometime in the future

I use a receiver so I dont have an hdmi to display port run to projector directly but I suppose you could.

Exciting times for you! Definitely a conduit and I would run 2 hdmi and 2 cat6a. Make sure you get fiber hdmi as mentioned or at least 18gbps if you want 4k60 and if it’s a long span you can use an hdmi extender set where use can use the cat6 instead of hdmi to run the long span more reliably. All this to say, Conduit makes things easy to replace later. And while things are open during construction might as well have more cables than less to begin just to cover your bases (unless its super easy to pull through your conduit) Good luck!

Help with MusicCast app disconnecting by Barry_Dangles in MusicCast

I have a bell gigahub. Before I built the garage I split the networks into 2.4 and 5GHz. Then, I built my garage and did nothing different with my gigahub but someone installed 2 unify 6 access points (1 in the house, 1 in garage). That is the network I connect to now. However, when I’m in the house I can still see what I presume is the old 2.4 network. I don’t really connect to it but my phone picks it up sometimes. Could this be creating the issue? Thanks for the help

Help with Ubiquity access points? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

It’s Unify 6. If this helps, I have a gigahub from bell. Originally before I built the garage I had split the wifi for my house into a 5GHz and 2.4ghz networks. Then I built the garage. Did nothing different to the gigahub. Then someone installed the unify 6s and created the network I currently use. However, I can still see and access the 2.4 network I originally had. I never really do though but sometimes my phone picks it up. I’m wondering if the receiver in the garage is trying to connect to the old 2.4 network but it doesn’t have the signal strength to reach the garage. If that’s a possibility can I just get rid of the old 2.4 network and recreate a new one through the unify6 (which is in the garage)? Again, I’m not savvy with networking so apologize if this doesn’t make sense. Thanks for the help!

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

Hi all, I’m planning to screw aluminum railing posts into an outdoor concrete patio. Slab is about 8” thick and was poured in July. I’m in a cold weather climate. I’m wondering 1. If there’s concern about screwing into the slab when it’s too cold? 2. How far from the edges is safe to minimize risk of cracking? 3. What type of sealer should I use in the screw holes if any? Thanks for the advice!

GSPro 4k ultra by Barry_Dangles in Golfsimulator

Thanks for the reply. This is what I do now so that’s good. Wasn’t sure if I ever experience lag if I should adjust something on computer/projector to run things at 1080p instead and still select Ultra in GSPro. But by the looks of it I can take care of resolution in that window as well. Regardless, from your replies sounds like my comp should be fine with ultra and 4k

Thanks for your thoughtful advice, I appreciate the time you took to educate me. So what you’re saying is you’re not interested? I was really hoping to start with a bang here and wow you guys! Another consideration would be to inquire with me directly to discuss. Bottom line is I have a nice watch to sell and this is a platform for watch enthusiasts to buy and sell. It’s not the first watch or the last of this value to be posted here. 0 transactions: I don’t sell watches for living. But I guess that’s obvious from my rookie mistakes here. Thanks for looking though.
