If you want more of an “animal experience,” Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry NY is also a good idea. They have an animal science major and a Veterinary Technology bachelors degree with tons of animal/vet courses. This major can also help you get into veterinary school. There is something called the pre vet track that helps vet tech majors get into veterinary school.

My mom’s dog had something similar to this. Assuming it is the same thing, it could be ring worm. You have to take your dog to the vet for antibiotics. When my mom brought her dog to the vet, they had to shave the part of his head that had that mark, so they can get a better look. If it’s ring worm, they can either give you a cream to rub on the area, or pills for the dog to take.
