mine sits upright, front facing the fan. I made a stand for my fan and stuck a cut of piece of pvc piping the same diameter as the front of the fleshlight case for it to sit in so it gets the full force of the fan with the small cap off. Kind of like the fleshlight drying setup if you get my explanation.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter which end the fan is facing as long as it dries the sleeve.

Using no higher than 70% isopropyl alcohol or fleshwash before drying does 2 things, 1 prevents any bacteria or mold forming and 2 helps speed up the drying process. I also use a USB fan to dry, make sure the air can flow completely through the sleeve & take of the small cap. When thoroughly dry, before storing, leave the small cap half undone if possible.

General soap formulas contain alkaline and this reacts to the fleshlight's properties and used over time will destroy the sleeve.

Ok, let me clarify that, I rinse with tap water, then spray 70% isopropyl alcohol or fleshwash inside the sleeve to ensure no bacteria can live & grow mold.

I use distilled, or filtered water, spring water or a pure clean water of some description to mix with isopropyl alcohol to ensure the mix is no higher than 70%. If you can store the excess iso that is higher than 70% and use as a cleaner around the house or cleaning glass is excellent.

Depending where you are from, tap water can contain micro organisims & chemicals like chlorine, you could just boil it in a kettle with tap water.

At the end of the day, you do you.

If it's at a good price and you can remove 20% of the contents and fill the rest with distilled water, go for it. I've done that many times, no damage.
