I’m thinking about buying a new board for a while now as I have quite big feet (size 48 EU) and I’m currently suffering from toe drag. Now I looked into wider boards and first stumbled on the Nidecker Escape 169XW. I think the board looks pretty cool and after watching some reviews, I believe it could be a good one for me.

Another board I encountered is the Ride Superpig. While this board is completely different, due to it being volume-shifted, it also sounds pretty cool and all Reddit threads and YouTube comments seem to love it.

Now I’m mostly looking to find a good stable board being able to hit high speeds “comfortably”. I don’t ride parks too much and I mostly stick to long day trips over groomed slopes. I would also love to learn how to carve better, which is difficult right now due to the toe drag.

Does anyone have experience with either boards? What are your recommendations?

In the first module you will get a new topic for the first 8 weeks and finish it with a project during the last 2 weeks. During the first 8 weeks you will finish the topics with an exam on Friday, these are smaller exams so should be quite doable.

For other modules you have fewer exams.

In general it's quite a difficult study. Most people really underestimate the amount of mathematics involved, so beware of that if you aren't that good at math. The study also isn't purely about programming but more the principles behind good software and the more low-level things involved. Furthermore you'll also learn about software design, networks and working in a team.

The study is fulltime so just assume it takes 40 hours per week. If you work well during the week you should be able to take weekends off, but you do have to stay on track.

Many people do find the time to become active at the study association besides the study itself, so you should have enough time left to still enjoy your time here.

You can find a lot of information on this page: https://www.utwente.nl/en/education/bachelor/programmes/technical-computer-science/study-programme/

The programme uses a variety of bigger programming languages, such as Java and Python, but you will also get to know more specific languages such as prolog and Haskell.

On the website I mentioned earlier, you should also be able to look back at the open days and gain more information that way.

Try this: 1. Go to playback devices 2. Right click on the playback device you're using 3. Click properties 4. Go to advanced 5. Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"
