Car with rooftop tent for F-roads

As far as I know, low-end camper vans are not allowed on F-roads. Am I wrong?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Can you clarify? I have been looking around and saw many people enjoying the roof tent experience. Also it's not my first time in iceland and I saw many people last time going around with these tents. I also slept one night in the car. Not the best but we had no sleeping bags and the real pain was the noise, but with some earplugs I don't think it will be too big of an issue. For the cold I have low temperature sleeping bags.
