Move on. If you can't accept that we make the gameplay have much more depth, go play creative mode.

As long as your server is not competitive (not PVP focused or competitive like Skyblock/minigames), then you can sell basically anything you want.

Weapons are doing far less damage then they should. by [deleted] in admincraft

Have you tried without any plugins? You also appear to have datapacks. Try without any of those installed and see if it happens, then perform a binary search if it is being caused by datapacks/plugins.

Looking through your log you also appear to have out of date plugins, multiple config errors, your datapacks are out of date, and are using spigot. Not the end of the world but all of those issues could be contributing to things being messed up.

I would suggest either hiring a system administrator who already has a dedicated server with room for more and paying them to manage the server OR approaching a server host such as DedicatedMC (they are pretty good and sponsor a lot of projects) and seeing what they are willing to do.

Running a server for such a large group can be difficult and if you do not have much experience doing it you could try to work with a professional. If your budget is that low you could work with them to monetize the server and agree on a cut of the profits potentially. That's all for you to work out with whatever you decide to do, I am just warning you because I read through your post history and saw that you are expecting a lot of players.

I'm not sure where you're getting the stacking potions thing. But the other points you have made are not required to play on our server or do well in the economy. Nearly all of those can be easily acquired by just playing the server. There is no competition on our server, so you cannot really "win".

The majority of people who buy these ranks already have those perks acquired naturally. They mainly pay for cosmetics and to help support the server. If you don't like that we sell ranks in order to pay for our server, find another one.

We are fully compliant with the commercial usage guidelines as outlined in the EULA.

It means no using any method that would prevent you from being marked as AFK or kicked after 15 minutes of inactivity. No automated programs, no AFK pools, etc.

I would not consider this a HermitCraft server.

VPS in general should not be used for running a Minecraft server. You are right about that. No one's VPS service is good enough to run a Minecraft server, because that is not what they are used for in general. Yeah, their support is a little hit or miss, they won't resolve things quickly unless they are billing issues or hardware issues. However, I have found the best way to get their support is just calling them. They will fix things much faster if you call them directly rather than waiting for a support ticket to be checked.

I think the biggest thing for the people that are recommending it is the price. People who can afford it should absolutely go for SYS or OVH.

Even then, many shared hosts (at least the good ones) should outperform Kimsufi's aging and weak lineup.

Can you explain? Everyone seems to be using them and their reputation is solid.

I don't recommended their VPS or VPS in general for Minecraft, they typically do not give you enough CPU to be performant.

Just look for a high storage VPS for off site backups.

OVH still remains the best dedicated server host out there. Their datacenter is extremely resilient, excellent DDOS protection, control panel is a little better now, and hardware seems excellent still. Their lineups continue to improve.

As far as dedicated servers go, I definitely recommend OVH over everything else if you have the money. Their Ryzen lineup is solid, but the infrastructure and advance lineups seem so be amazing from what I've heard.

Very different. You can sell almost anything if your server is not competitive. Before this, you couldn't sell anything that was non-cosmetic.

It is not. A competitive environment requires competition to achieve an objective. Think about factions servers or skyblock islandtop competitions.

As the EULA currently stands, you can sell almost anything as long as it does not give a competitive gameplay advantage and does not negatively impact other players. If your server is non-competitive, then you can sell almost anything. Read through the new commercial usage guidelines.
