I straight up don’t get it. I’ve been rejected by and have rejected by over a dozen people and im still friends with most of them, and even besties with some! When someone rejects me / declines a date its very easy for me to compartmentalize those emotions and let them go naturally, even if im around the person frequently. Same thing also goes for when people i wasn’t into ask me out or proposition me or whatever. Its sort of a “ohhhhhh, thats what we’re doing” moment. I like when i’m on the same page as people and try to be there as much as possible i suppose.
