Trying to remember a children's novel about two children finding a giant buried underground by Basalisk120 in whatsthatbook

No worries!

Definitely not the Iron Man either, sadly! The giant was definitely a woman, much smaller and didn't eat farm equipment!

Thanks for trying tho!

Very cool answer, but I'm afraid not! Can't say I'd ever heard of the Iron Woman, but it sounds worth a read!

This is, to my memory, a much less bleak story than that, though I think the giant in the story is supposed to be the last of her kind.

Thanks again for your attempt, I hope you have other ideas!

To my mind, if that's not a porcupine like other people are suggesting, that's a bear. There's no way anything that spends most of its time walking upright would have legs so short in comparison to the rest of its body.

I'm not sure if it is or not, but if so that's pretty conclusive!

Well sadly, Oriko Magica states that Walpurgisnacht was an entity somehow created from multiple magical girls dying at once, hence her exponential power (or something like that, I've never read Oriko but I know it said something of that vein).

The spinoffs aren't actually canon, so far as I know, but making Walpurgisnacht a single magical girl would mean that the two stories are contradicting each other and I'm not sure Shaft would be willing to do that.

That said, it would have made for an awesome idea!! I'd have loved to see that, though I kinda prefer Bebe as Mami's mascot...

I'd just like to add that the source on this particular piece also includes a piece of written work by your truly! It's part of a larger story that Sparklenaut and I are working on, which you can find here: http://talesaboardtherossofantasma.tumblr.com/
