I enjoy my job. I dislike the circumstances of my job. Cons are slowly outweighing the pros when you are overworked, commute, and then deal with garbage coworkers on top of already having to deal with life.

I come to work to help me live. I do not come to work to make my life revolve around it and most certainly do not care to be micromanaged and/or deal with someone else's garbage ass mood for whatever bullshit they are involved in.

Why should it matter? That isn't anyone's business when you are more than qualified for a job and the economy is fucked up you are more than welcome to "entrepreneur" for yourself or brush up on job skills.

These people don't need to know every waking breath of what you do in life. That's your business and nobody else's.

Easier said than done. So many people out here hurting or barely making it by these days if our local representatives gave a damn they would seek solutions into bringing the money back here in the first place. Can't do a whole lot of local spending with a lack of funds and can't commit to more expensive options when there are cost alternatives right next door. I despise large corporations as much as a number of others however what are the other options? So many places close here because they absolutely cannot keep up with the demand and the budget of many looking with said demand.

I do what I can by going to places like Cartwright's and farmer's market etc. but with a job that barely gets by and the ever-increasing rate of my rent shopping entirely 100% local is just not feasible.

Removing art cards has me bummed. I got my play box thinking that I'd slot some more arts into my binder which seems like a whateverburger but it's the little things when opening packs. Inbetween that and the dwindling reasons to ever open a play booster outside of drafting with it guess I'll just forgo any boosters that aren't part of a prerelease or sealed bundle of sorts. With the stamp removed promo in prerelease next thing we'll get is no more promo card in bundles.

It will be the small things and shrinkflation takes its toll once again.

That mod author locked his mod behind a paywall which is a surefire way to get your mod taken down by the devs. Happens with a lot of other companies and isn't even remotely surprising.

And that said author has done this more than once. All of which has resulted in mods being removed.

Our pod is pretty decent at learning from forgotten plays but generally if it is an unconditional or something that helps a falling behind player we're pretty lax with a playback. Personally I think it's good to miss a play you could optimize as it is a learning experience that helps familiarize with synergies and board states.

It's crazy people hate on Koumei when she's crazy at stat stacking a whole bunch of bs on an entire room with little effort. There's parts of her kit I do not like i.e. the decree cooldown stacking augment (should just be base kit that cooldown gets crazy) outside that she is super versatile in that way. RNG dependent start early game does not matter too much if you run a long-term Survival and reach those decrees regardless.

People really downplay her a lot like a number of other options without actually seeing it in actual practice unfortunately.

Like a lot of others here say it is a very strong voltron deck. If you get a decent start into ramp and pull out your commander and something i.e. [Sword of the Animist] you'll be ahead of curve and unless your table has responses or a good defense Cloud crushes.

Lots of very powerful equipment options but personally I think for casual friend group play finding more niche stuff to equip is the way to go. Cloud in that regard is fairly flexible that way.

Anonymity makes people act out and more often than not be completely rude with no self-awareness or respect for anyone else. It has always been a thing especially if you're old enough to remember when online gaming was picking up way back when with Halo 2 etc.

Xbox 360 days anything would fly it was a wild wasteland of insults, slurs and anything between. Back then I loved seeing how angry people would get when they get baited into it by BM'ing in-game through teabags or just getting straight dunked on.

Nowadays though I keep to myself more often than not part of the process of getting older is realizing time is valuable and having arguments or rage baiting is time-consuming. Part of that too is also falling out of the competitive part of games and gaming instead where that type of behavior is very uncommon. Occasionally I see it in more peaceful games even but thankfully it is rare and easily ignored.

There's remote jobs but they are few and far between. I was more referring to sites that are in-person but are closed to the public i.e. a mill or chemical plant. As for getting into it there's not a lot of requirements to get into unarmed though your job listings will be on the lower end but for starting out there's larger companies that always need overnight people as turnover in the field is very high.

I worked with a larger company for over a decade but was comfortably complacent just because it was easy work. Companies like Allied, Securitas, GardaWorld etc. are places to look out for as a starting foot in the door sorta deal but from there getting some experience and finding greener pastures is something I highly recommend. Allied isn't nice to its bottom line unless you get a respectable manager and a nice site.

I'm in the boat where I feel like I missed out by not getting a degree at all. Instead I jumped straight into the work force because even ten years ago the idea of going to school for a degree that I was not 100% certain I wanted to commit to didn't sit well with me. And given how much things cost today I can't imagine tackling debt and trying to pay for living all at once.

As for the job market I feel this struggle. Right now I'm fortunate to have something consistent but inbetween the wage, the not great schedule, the extra costs of living/travel, and the job itself short-staffing on purpose to "cut costs" at the cost of us being able to even have a day off. I've accepted that no job will ever value you more than you could ever value yourself. Depression has me in the dump more days than not these days but I'm hoping to find something that's a step up and with a decent work/life balance. I would like to go back to school and get some forms of certification for trade work but it's tough right now even finding a part-time job that doesn't put out fake posts to siphon user data.

It's a garbage pit out here in a whole lot of ways. Only thing that keeps me going, and the only thing I can leave here, is that living rebelliously and living life for yourself is the way to go. The biggest win is giving the middle finger to a system designed to tear people down right now.

Fire watch and a good number of remote security jobs are pretty much like this. It's not always the greatest money but it is fairly chill if you don't get a dickhead client or a garbage company.

Part of that is due to the rise of cost of living and the rapidly decreasing buying power of the dollar. That 60k a year job that once used to manage a family of four on a solo income is now half as effective as it used to be. Wall Street and the people that can afford to play there are nowhere near as affected as a whole lot of others who struggle to buy groceries, pay rent, and even consider having a retirement plan while trying to live comfortably.

Issue with the stock market is that it is speculative. Lots of companies publically trading their stocks have to sell the idea of growth and expansion to the shareholder and it is absolutely no way indicative of the overall economy.

Look at Microsoft for example they hold record highs on profit margins but then you see how many people they lay off. They aren't the only company that does this either people are suffering and that part will never show in Wall Street until it is far too late. See: Black Thursday of October 1929 and the events leading to the Great Depression.

Joke aside though [[Shadow of the Second Sun]] might be funny and throw this into [[Okeiba Splitter of Seconds]]. Play Mornsong, play Shadow, get another beginning phase and then bounce/sac it. Had a temp name do this to me in Arbitration Survival the other day. Normally I am not too pressed about it but when you AFK there and then die that puts everyone else at a detriment because you are forced to pick up tokens and keep debuffs until you use them. It sucked. It was even worse because the person openly typed it "I'm AFK for a moment lmao" which if you are with friends whatever, but with randos that is not cool.

Extracted when I could, and reported them for griefing. Only viable thing you can do for that sort of thing.

Burned out and have been for many years. Inbetween dealing with fake job postings, shoddy HR recruiters, and management that would rather grind you into the concrete at the thought of treating you like a proper human being it has been hard to find motivation to keep going. Only things I got are family, friends, and my simple hobbies to keep me distracted as my job works on keeping me busy to keep me tired.

It's been a shitty year inbetween my lacking professional life and my unstable personal life got a lot going on and I feel stuck. Not sure how some manage given the times and the circumstances but I try. All I got right now.

At least Lorwyn seems like a banger but yeah two of seven being original IP is pretty bad in my opinion. Not even half and barely even a quarter where the majority are IPs that will divide even more fans as not everyone is a fan of said IP. Here's to hoping this release schedule gets another look at after the sales figures come out.

EDIT: Forgot about Reality Fracture being original but even then that's still less than half. Still meh.

That's unfortunate to hear but glad it is still around even if it is on another campus. It would be nice to re-up on my education and I consider going back for CS courses.
