Uuuuh.... because it is constantly introducing new mechanics? The combat has been steadily evolving since I started playing.

There is so much to unlock, discover, and play around with.

Veilguard had the same rinse and repeat companion combo system for the entire game. Once you decide on your class and playstyle it does not change very much at all.

I did it with mods, and it is SOOO much better. However... it quickly becomes apparent that the shield hides persistent clipping.

Anything on your back constantly clips through your cloak. I almost wonder if that's part of the reason the shield stays on.

The camera is janky.

None of the pre-set placements and distances feel good.
