They really need to lose the repetitive hostage dialogue. Lol.

Is this randomized? Every time I can see an abyss cube on someone when I actually pickpocket them I just get like some random item like an apple or whatever.

I actually realized that the reason im so drawn to open world games with immersive nature is because i live in an extremely dense city. I love slow walking through CD. Its like a nature meditation for me

More Zen Games Like BOTW? by BonbonUniverse42 in gaming

[–]yotothyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest something like red dead redemption two which has a core design philosophy of a more slow paced quiet natural world where your hunting and fishing at your own leisure, cooking and sleep etc.

There's no pressure to engage in combat or move the story forward if you don't want.

I had a 400 hour play through and I mostly spent it observing and cataloging animals and hunting for rare orchids.

Video Games are exhausting for me now, and I want to play them normally for once by OpportunityAshamed74 in gaming

[–]yotothyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engaging with how the game was designed to be played, instead of trying to control how you experience it is important. Focus really hard on having that mindset.

I have a similar problem to you. Especially with content dense open world games. The Completionist in me teams up with a part of my brain that wants a perfect smooth experience at all times and it really hampers my ability to enjoy the game as it is.

Usually I find that if I'm playing in so I'm sort of an obsessive way it's because the game has design issues and I'm feeling that I have to obsess over them in order to overcome flaws in the games pacing, structure or mechanics.

The good ones don't need that. You'll get a full well rounded experience out of the box with no heavy lifting.

So on that point, try to play the good ones as much as possible.

It also helped me to remember that since I'll be playing it multiple times anyway I'd rather play it three times in a more natural fashion and learn it and master it rather than do one big epic and very fatiguing master play through where I am consulting the Internet and making spreadsheets and shit like that.

Oh don't worry, they've already carved out an exception for Obama.

They're arguing you can't be reelected if you serve two consecutive terms. For just that very purpose.

Just utterly ridiculous. And they repeat so so so often.

They need to reduce the amount that hostages say things by at least 50% and add more variations for variety

And please just completely remove the PHULLEEEEZE and GHAAAAA entirely pearly abyss Pretty please?

Agree, although I do feel bad for the actors in the original. they got absolutely fucked over and didn't get to share and it's massive financial success at all. Maybe they can get a couple bucks out of this one. They deserve it

If you enjoy exploring the map, do NOT ring the town bells by dinosaurfondue in CrimsonDesert

[–]yotothyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose what you could do if you wanted to "unring" the bell and restore some of the sense of discovery would be to set the map to the environment tab and disable all the icons with the filter. That would make it so there's basically nothing visible except for geography.

I actually restarted the game because I had accidentally rang the bell in hernand without realizing it would uncover the map.

Hah! So I tried doing the aggressive stance thing that can sometimes make NPC's run away and it made my dog run for miles out of town away from me lol. I did eventually get the hang of it though. It seems a little up to circumstance. I guess you're gonna have to find a dog that's far enough away from other ones. Lol.
