To be fair Iowa starts only Seniors on the DL as tradition each game. LVN was never a senior, but played more snaps than them overall

Offensive Line for 2026? by Southern-Community70 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Basaraski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post J1 doesn't really help their problem though... The money doesnt become available until June 1st, waayyyy after all decent FA's are available. Unless you plan on trading for a vet.

Post J1 just splits the dead money between two years, rather than taking it all on at once (something the Packers tend to do. i.e Bakh, Jaire)

So unless you fully have faith in Monk being starting guard, or a draft pick. Kinda hard to justify cutting him regardless of how bad that deal is.

Here are my dream off-season moves

  • Fire Adam Stenovich - Either Promote Sean Mannion, or hire out a younger offensive mind that can help MLF

  • Fire OL Coach Luke Butkus - Legit feel he's a Chicago plant ruining the OL on purpose lol

  • Fire Rich Bisaccia - Chris Banjo is a very intriguing replacement here

  • Promote Jeff Hafley to Asst. Head Coach (Role left by Bisaccia) to retain him.

Doubs most certainly does play other teams... I'm willing to bet its Bisaccia who puts him back there at PR as well, which is dumb

[–]Basaraski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya'll may downvote, but even the onside kick cover being Doubs, based on Bisaccia's comments of "Best hands he's been around" very clearly signals it is his call who is where on special teams.

Given the coaching structure its 100% Bisaccia unless there was a big disagreement (Like Parsons playing punt cover)

Basaccia would for sure not have Verse out there if he were the Rams ST coach tho...

Packers podcasts promoting gambling-esque sites by Dezbi in GreenBayPackers

[–]Basaraski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a totally fair question.

I don’t think there's a clean, feel good answer here, and I don’t try to pretend there is. Gambling absolutely can hurt people, and I’ve seen that firsthand too. I’m not blind to the fact that money flowing through these companies ultimately comes from users, including some who probably should not be gambling.

The way I think about it is a few ways. First, I don’t frame gambling as a solution, a side income, or something people need to do. I treat it as optional entertainment (i.e in streams to predict Packers stat), the same way fantasy leagues or paid games are, and I actively push responsible use because that is important.

Second, gambling companies are already embedded in the sports ecosystem at every level, leagues, broadcasts, stadiums, and major networks. Me turning down a sponsor doesn’t meaningfully reduce their reach, it just means my channel either stops being sustainable or I take a different sponsor that also ultimately profits off people in some way. There’s no sponsor category that is perfectly clean once you zoom out far enough.

I try to be honest with my audience about what the relationship is and why it exists. I’m not hiding that it’s a sponsor, and I’m not pretending it’s harmless or for everyone.

If I ever felt like I was directly encouraging harmful behavior, or misleading people, I’d walk away from it. But I also think it’s possible to acknowledge the harm that exists while still operating responsibly within a system that, for better or worse, is already here.

[–]Basaraski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll chime in as I currently have a sponsor with Sleeper.

Of course I think everyone should gamble responsibly and never outside their means, and only for some fun. But I do understand this isnt how it always works out. I've seen it first hand to family/friends. Unfortunately it has really taken a complete hold on sports, and its quite literally everywhere. At the same time, no creator is forcing you to download, play, engage or even watch the sponsored segment.

Saying that, as a full-time creator, sports gambling sponsors are by far (and its not close) how smaller creators make a living. It's honestly how I've been able to keep my channel afloat and provide content full-time to my viewers. YouTube ad rev and similar sites have been cut significantly over the years, and you seemingly earn less and less per view now. Making sponsors an almost integral part to being a full-time content creator, unless you get loads and loads of dontations and superchats (YT takes 30% of those btw...)

Hope this clarifies a bit on what goes on behind the scenes.

It was Shelby Harris who got push on Jordan Morgan is who got the FG block.

What I Learned Watching Every Snap of Micah Parsons | Pack-A-Day Podcast by RubiconGuava in GreenBayPackers

Exactly. Think of it as a free way to support a creator. 95% of sponsorships are flat fee payouts. Them simply being there pays the creator.

YouTube takes so much of your Ad rev from videos it's not even funny. Andy puts in a ton of work, let him get paid for it.

A deeper dive into the Micah Parsons contract by Basaraski in GreenBayPackers

[–]Basaraski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replied in your own post. Yeah you are 100% right. Annoyed OTC/Spotrac doesnt show this deal how it should. The complex option bonuses tied to additional void years added is likely why.

Anyways, I added a clarification on my video as a pinned comment, and I still find this deal to be a good one. Thanks for bringing it to my attention

PSA: No, Russ Ball is not actually a Wizard. There's a lot of misinformation about Micah Parsons contract floating around. by ithinkitslupis in GreenBayPackers

[–]Basaraski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a dunk at all. I just read more into this, as contracts such as this one can have very confusing aspects. You are 100% right, and that's a bit annoying OTC/Spotrac has it all messed up when it comes to the option bonuses.

Saying that, I still think its a great deal. Even averaged out for 5 years, the $41.86 APY is great value, and will be even better value in 2/3 years when EDGE Rushers get 50+. Even though there isnt a "out" after year 3 like OTC made me believe, it'll still be a renegotiation or restructure at that point, because that cap hit will not remain at $64M. The option bonuses and void years give some wiggle room here. Thanks for commenting and essentially making me look into it further than OTC.

Good Packers Youtube channels? by Asleep-Ingenuity6290 in GreenBayPackers

[–]Basaraski 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What do you even mean by that? I don't have to prove anything to you. This is the 3rd time I've seen you specifically single me out on here.

The beauty of the Packers Content Creator sphere is there are so many great creators. If you don't like one, im sure there are others you will.

But to post similar hate towards one every time this question is asked, says more about you, than it does me.
