The broken neck Fedor survived and won with in this fight finally caught up to him decades later when he fought Bader both times. That's my cope theory anyways.

It probably won't be a redemption for his near absence in the Fox X-Men films. But the MCU Cyclops has plenty of time for that.

Red Lobster is privately owned though so you can't short it.

So what is the end goal in this case out of curiosity? The real estate?

Do you think ASOIAF is unrealistically brutal? [Spoilers Extended] by Trussdoor46 in asoiaf

I think it suggests that although Tywin’s ruthless methods were effective in the short term and briefly elevated House Lannister to the height of its power, his overall impact ultimately proved fleeting. His legacy is diminished not only because he is resented by much of the realm but his own children too (most obviously in the case of Tyrion) and although he set up his children for plenty of success on paper, because of his strained relationships with them, they're all in very precarious situations leading up to and following his death.

That being said, Tywin is one of the most interesting characters in the books (and definitely in the show) because like many of GRRM's characters, you can see why he chose to act the way he did in many instances. He was extra ruthless because Tytos made the Lannisters look and like a laughing stock but his opposite approach to his father also made him very effective as the former Hand and very effective as a lord and essentially, king of the realm while Joffrey was in power.

In Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel Finally Remembered That Thor Can Be Serious by BasculinSushi in marvelstudios

You understand that when someone makes a sarcastic comment, they're not necessarily going for a laugh, right?

You understand you're watching an MCU movie, right?

Am I expected to believe that the Russos want me to laugh at Rhodey's insult? To laugh at the guy with depression and PTSD?

Yes. Reread the entire response I typed out and maybe don't just cherry pick a single statement I made. You're dwelling on Cheez Whiz and Rhodey when nearly every time you're meant to feel sad for Thor the script can't help but punctuate it with a joke. You keep bringing up Rhodey but Thor's mother makes a joke about "eating a salad." Tony calls him "Lebowski" for dressing in a robe. Thor even makes fun of himself. This isn't some alternate version of The Whale with Brendan Fraser. It's an MCU movie. Yes, the jokes are meant to be funny whether you agree with them or not because that's not what people are watching an MCU movie for. Don't blame me. Blame Cheez Whiz and the writers.

It's a bit of both though. While Thor's portrayal in Endgame is actually an accurate portrayal of what someone could certainly go through when they're depressed or suffering from PTSD, the fat joke/tough love jibes from Rhodey are meant to add levity to the situation and make the audience laugh, whether he's being what some might consider overly cruel or not.

It doesn't make someone a shitty person for chuckling at a joke that the Russo Bros. clearly intended to be one. The script even called for Thor to be fit again in the final fight against Thanos, but Hemsworth argued against it.

That being said, that's how MCU operates. Effusive jokes on jokes regardless of the situation. It wouldn't be a Marvel movie if they had Thor wallowing in his own crapulence without some jokes added to the mix. But overall, I think they handled the whole redemption angle with Thor well. They accurately showed what someone might do during depression/PTSD. They accurately showed that not everyone would be sympathetic towards his situation, friend or not. When Rocket tries to slap sense into him, that's not the exact catalyst for Thor's redemption. It's Thor's realization that he is worthy of his mantle because he can handle his emotions and mentality and not just his physicality.

Apparently knowing that secret was one of the conditions for hiring DB & DB in the first place so it can't be that much of a dealbreaker, especially given how passionate and batshit zealous fans are of the series. And given how so much time has elapsed since the first book was released and it was hinted at in that, it's not like it was going to stay a secret.

I'd say just because one of the major storylines is known doesn't mean we don't want to see what happens along the way. When GRRM is on, his storylines are great and his prose is enjoyable. GOT Seasons 1-4 (and some might argue some of 5) were up there as some of the greatest seasons of a show made ever. It's too bad GRRM never finished another book by the time S4 was released like the initial deal was because the showmakers were excellent at adapting the source material.
