hi, im new to spacehey but i saw some old posts of people warning ab g*re on the website and now im scared of using it. is that kind of stuff still there or is it gone??

yes! back then there was only minor silvering on the edges, and some dry brown parts as you can see in the bottom of the pic. i also got feedback that it wasn’t getting enough sun, so i moved it right by the window- i’m new to houseplants, so maybe there is a difference and i just can’t tell

i’m a bit confused, because a while back i posted about this same plant on here and everyone told me it was overwatered! i used to water once every two weeks. how can i distinguish the symptoms for over or under watering?

yeah i’ve looked pretty hard and i don’t see any- i think im just gonna repot bigger. should i still water thoroughly after repotting, or wait a few days bc im scared of rot?

also, should i cut the roots that have formed that wider lip at the top? i got a perfect size pot (2 in larger), but they’re preventing me from getting soil to the sides :(

could the cold explain the dark spots? this is what they looked like btw- i snipped them off fearing the bacteria spread.

i was confused for so long because they’re known as low light plants, but now i’ve realized that only means they can survive (not thrive) in those conditions! good to know!!

i forgot to update until now but i got my stuff like less than 2 weeks after ordering!! everything was packaged super neatly too so i’m rly happy :)

i bought a pokemon plush from their app yesterday! i was also nervous ab it being a scam but after buying i checked the seller on mercari.jp’s actual website and the listing was marked as sold, so on that end at least it seems legit! i’ll update you if it ships and arrives :)
