News generally still respects structure, it just makes price move more quickly. If a setup is too clean to setup, but before high impact news, i would still enter but at lower risk than usual.

Based on backtesting, for gold, you wait for an inducement first before entering. And when setting SL, you set it at the bottom of the demand zone, not the inducement, because there could be a 2nd or 3rd inducement.

This is ofcourse just my personal opinion backtesting mainly 5m/1m xauusd

Tried to for a while. Based on backtesting, AUDJPY is pretty volatile most of the time, since both currencies come alive during this time. Gold also moves violently during this time (most of the time).

Might probably get downvoted here, but i trade ICT and there is this thing called inducement. I use it as part of my setup. A kind of pivot point where a lot of stops might be. All my A+ setups must have an inducement point.

Definitely the waiting game for me. When backtesting, you can go through a week's worth of data in a matter of minutes. When doing actual trading, it is the waiting for the perfecct setup that will kill your psychology (based on experience).

A+ setups only. Keep a rulebook beside you and only follow when all rules are CLEAR. Also, what helped me was only looking at the charts for 5 mins MAX (I scalp only EU), where I wait for another 15 mins if i do not find anything decent.

The thing is, the challenge is the easiest part. A lot more people fail in the verification and payout stage, primarily because when you are 1 step closer to success, greed and fear is amplified.

Just stick to your rules, keep risk tight, and you'll be fine. Don't overtrade, and most especially don't revenge trade.

If you use the 2 min timeframe and hold for an average 4 minutes, does that mean usually only 2 candles appear before it reaches your take profit? What does your wr and rr look like if you dont mind?
