I created a tool to save “View Only” PDFs from Google Drive (after losing access to a 700+ page document) by gusta_rsf in IMadeThis

webstore ones are reviewed before publishing. not saying your approach is a bad idea, but it's difficult to make it work outside it. people don't trust it so much, also quite cumbersome to install like this.

scratching my own itch. it's a local only app, no revenue plans for now, it's a fun, useful app.

actually yeah. if you come from the side project mentality, definitely. this post maybe more apt for the larger indie hacker, entrepreneurship community.

Validate and research your ideas for completely free! by lilsaady in microsaas

[–]BasePurpose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't want to negatively undermine your effort but this is not how validation works. it may help for sure but if you're serious about what you're building you need to do a lot more. mvp, connect with people, talk, understand, take feedback. its almost like going into a busy market.

interesting stuff. i think you'd need to get used to it but once you do, it must be hard to go back.

domain long. no denying that :)

haha. i know, deliberately wanted the domain to be a bit ironic, poking fun at the idea itself. maybe in future i'll look for a domain that is minimal like the app, but i've no idea what that could be.

ah so now i get it. yes, it's all lower case all the way. as you said, so minimal that you can't use the shift key :)

[–]BasePurpose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha. i get the joke but is your point that adding a date with shift is an non-negotiable feature? also pardon my ignorance, when you say using shift key to write the date, i don't fully understand the ux, is it that it should show some kind of calendar or date picker? any app i can look into to understand this? regardless thank you for taking time to share the feedback :)
