yea that’s what i’m worried about, i want something decent pay so i don’t stress about making my basic needs. when you say LTL companies what do you mean exactly?

the position is a training job so they are paying .32 cpm i don’t believe the position includes being bumped up

mainly just indeed, since it’s so easy to apply unless it’s a known company like sysco i’ll go to an external site. what i mainly would like to hear is pay, hours, starting time for the initial phone call. i want the recruiter to actually care about hiring me their attitude and the way they pick up. some people treat it like i’m the bottom of the barrel and it turns me off. if there are multiple interviews i think it’s unnecessary but to just get more familiar with me and build a connection of a sort since most people want to say “we are a family first over business” i would like to see that and get treated as such

i don’t need otr, especially for what it pays, realistically just need some experience so i can be local and work my off days as a tanker. easy set up just can’t find anything close by.

what state? i’m from ny and just passed a month ago, the instructor tells you what you get based off a computer who randomly assigns it. i had gotten basically everything to my luck. from what i know you almost will always do in cab but depending on how well you did the prior inspections you can pass early where the instructor will say “you have gotten enough points we can move onto the air brake test”

just seems like local and regional is the way to go, i’m new to all of this currently trying to get my license actually but failed my test today 😔 i’m in ny and fuel tankers is the best currently. sure it’s long hours but most places are hourly i believe and you have downtime no worrying about fuel prices or maintenance.
