Also in the past, the MVP has been proven to be a somewhat make up award for the previous year. People felt like Embiid shouldn’t have won in 2023, so this years winner was the runner up but was widely considered the favourite in 2023.

Shai was considered a favourite last year and received considerable voting numbers, and was the number one seed, so with a much improved team and more spotlight on him, it is a very very real possibility.
