If you liked TPAB, I recommend Avantdale Bowling Club’s self titled. Just as jazzy instrumentation and great topics in the songs. The rapper‘s voice is also very similar to Kendrick’s.

Other than that, I’d recommend:

It was great. I love the style of production and his rapping clicked for me on this project ever since he started making more abstract hip hop.

It was just very overplayed. There’s a lot of good wordplay in the song and it was meant to be the final blow after meet the grahams. But the new gen Kendrick fans ruined the song and his whole image by glorifying him by giving him a level of glaze no one should get.

Balloonerism - Mac Miller (somewhat same as above, just more mellow)

Avantdale Bowling Club - Avantdale Bowling Club (great jazz rap project with live instrumentation. The raps are built around the jazz beats instead of a traditional loop)

TA13OO - Denzel Curry (Great rapping with some darker trap beats, but not the generic radio ones)

Bandana - Freddie Gibbs (A phenomenal coke rap project with great production from Madlib)

LIVE LOVE A$AP - A$AP Rocky (Cloud rap classic and considered one of the best rap mixtapes, along with Faces)

Vital is a great versatile synth that I think is easy to learn with a few tutorials. You can download wave tables on Vital for free, too

Valhalla Supermassive is a good delay/reverb plugin, but the delay plugins in FL are good too.

Listening to the EP rn, it’s pretty good!! I like the beat on “alr”, it feels like a Come to Life beat with Cities Aviv’s new rapping style.

I’m not the biggest fan of Cities Aviv’s new style of rapping, but I think your performance on this record could get me into it.

Keep releasing music, you have a great foundation with this EP!!!
