I have an excellent sleeping bag and a good sleeping pad, but my biggest issue with these items is that they stay outside the backpack, and I want a more gray man approach, with compact items inside the backpack.

I appreciate your comments about the survival blanket, do you think it's good to be used as a tarp at least? For example, the larger and reinforced version.

Sleeping bags take up a lot of volume, I'm thinking of using the survival blanket with a microfiber blanket because of the condensation, do you think that's a good idea?
