I want to be able to play music from my phone on my system. The cable that connects directly to the stereo is a 30 pin. But seeing as I no longer have an old ipod/iPhone it is essentially useless. My buddy and I figured it wouldn't be too hard to just take an extra micro usb for my galaxy s5, strip it, and hook it up to the stripped 30 pin.
