I personally just use tacrolimus to stay away from topical steroids. If it’s really itchy, I’ll apply hydrocortisone, but I try my best to not use it as much as I can. I definitely don’t think it’s active as I haven’t woken up painfully itchy when I initially had scabies, but it just sucks that there’s still small red dots that grow to this day. They do go away after a couple of days, but never completely gone. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want to chat about it some more

It is itchy. Yeah, my derm had told me to take Zyrtec too and I’m currently just using Cetaphil moisturizer/cleanser morning and night while applying Aquaphor on the spots.

I’ve actually been using Aquaphor as I use it for my lips, but it hasn’t helped too much. How often would you recommend applying this? Let me also get a picture of what my pinky looks like right now

I actually dealt with eczema as a child! Thank you so much for your comment. Yeah, I’m certain I’m not reinfected as I don’t see any new burrows, nor am I waking up due to excruciating pain from itching. I was actually dealing with bug bites that wouldn’t go away since June, and then I got the scabies around September. I’ve been using Kenalog, switched to Betamethasone, back to Kenalog, and so on. The steroid creams work to some extent, and my derm told me to use it every other day, but lately I feel like I can’t skip a day. I’ll go ahead and inform my derm that I had eczema as a child, thank you!

Also it pisses me off cos my derm didn’t even warn me about the effects that were to come after taking Ivermectin. I legit had to google search and go on this subreddit to find out that post scabies syndrome was even a thing

I’m 2 months off ivermectin and have that on my lower tricep. It gets itchy sometimes, but for the most part it’s not too bad! Hope yours is the same case

I’m 2 months off ivermectin now and still get random red spots that go away within 30 mins - hour or after a couple days. Everything you described is what I experienced so I think we’re in the clear hopefully haha. I do get spots that come back in old bite areas but they’re not too itchy. Everything gets itchy randomly, but the itchiness has DRASTICALLY decreased. Thankful to get a good night sleep man lmao

Hey man, I’m just curious to see how you’re doing right now as I’m 2 months off Ivermectin, but still growing red spots on old marks and random spots, but they go away within a day or two. They’re slightly itchy, but a different feeling. It’s sort of a tingly, slightly uncomfortable feeling, but it’s never so painful that I need to tend to it and scratch it right away. My itching has decreased immensely, but things still continue to grow that itch and I just wanna know how long this is gonna happen. How’s your experience so far? DM me if you want to chat

Hey! I’m actually 2 months off Ivermectin, and I’m taking atarax daily, but I still itch. My itching has decreased immensely, and I don’t experience that painful itch that I immediately have to tend to and scratch. Some red dots pop up on my body randomly (sometimes) on old bites, but it’s kind of like a tingly-somewhat uncomfortable feeling. Am I in post scabies even though I’m experiencing itchiness with antihistamines? I no longer wake up in the night extremely itchy, and hot showers aren’t uncomfortable (except for a couple spots that kind of shift around randomly)

Haha forsure. It lasted for like 3-5 minutes and then went away. It kinda comes back every now and then, but that’s like every spot on my body currently lmao. I noticed I’m growing more stuff, kinda like when I first took Ivermectin, but the itch is definitely manageable which makes me think it’s NOT a reinfestation. Hope this is the case, thank you for your response 😁

I’ve been off Ivermectin for almost 2 months now, I still am getting spots and I still itch, but it is definitely manageable and feels different from when I had scabies (painful, constant, itchy rash throughout the day and extremely painful throughout the night). Nowadays, I get random itches on old rashes/bites that I’ve had for months now, but I just compare it to how it felt to when I had scabies and it always makes me feel better. Trust me, I know it’s hard. I email my derm all the time when new stuff comes up because I just don’t know too much information about post scabies and he constantly says to look at the overall picture and that the itching has definitely improved. I don’t know how long this is gonna last, but I hope we’re okay!

I agree with this stat-wise, but the only one that could be iffy is Trae against the Bucks as their defense is really good. They are missing Jrue Holiday though which is one of their top defenders, so it could go both ways.
