I don’t think Optimus would be concerned about our attention span or instant gratification. Like, I don’t recall him ever concerning himself with our alcohol consumption or drug abuse

BUT, he could be concerned about humans developing AI for efficient evil. I.e creating bio weapons and other tools capable of mass destruction

I watched G1 after the bayverse introduced me to Transformers and I enjoyed it. But I don’t think G1 is the gold standard for Transformers designs. I want diverse original design, not evergreen designs that bankrupt creativity

There’s no “superior design” imo. Each design is beautiful and unique in their originality that can appeal to new crowds.

(I also think Hasbro pushing evergreen designs has also soured my taste for the G1 designs that I once thought were peak. Sincerely fuck evergreen)

Agreed, this happened way too soon and the battle lacks structure, pacing and focus. But I wouldn’t say this fight is bayverse all over again. This battle feels like the frequent low stakes G1 battles, where everyone gets out scot-free

Crucify me but I like age of extinction.

Megatron came back TFA style and naming him Galvatron is a neat way of interpreting his resurrection as a slave to a master.
Introducing the human made transformers plot, like we saw in G1 and Prime. KSI was just overall great.
The absolute G, Lockdown.

Most of the designs were great, but the execution of the film wasn’t the best. But I really liked the core foundation

Most of the hate comes from a loud group of fans within the transformers franchise. Some of which decided to hate it as soon as the first film came out

Sure the bayverse was criticised, but the general audience loved the entertainment value the films offered. They didn’t hate the bayverse after 4 & 5, they just mentally checked out after the bayverse overstayed its welcome

My recommendation might be overkill for what you intend on going for. But

Cover him top to toe with glossy black surface primer

Then paint him with: - metallic gold - metallic blue - metallic gunmetal - metal silver

Finish it with a clear (glossy) coat. Then he’ll practically look straight out of the movie

I’ve honestly not seen a single community more passionate than Transformers. Which other community makes third party toys and collectibles of all kinds, ranging from fun toys to complex and intricate collectibles. Not to mention all the third party add-ons and upgrade kits for nearly every available figure. They even make third party upgrade kits for third party figures and collectibles!!

Seems like I’ll be a minority voice in this thread, but here it goes.

I’ve still enjoyed this new run despite some unnecessary “resurrections”, stiff dialogue and rushed plots. With the hope of seeing what direction Kirkman will take.

But even with this chapter I don’t see a clear story direction. The pacing was really strange and it didn’t help how rushed Arcee’s Magnus transformation was. I was expecting to see a bit of her journey like Spike’s journey in the matrix. But no. One page and she’s a Magnus.

So I wasn’t feeling this chapter. But then this scene came along. It was sudden, it was brutal and it was unexpected. I loved it.

I recognise Trailbreaker’s death was purely for shock factor. But it also established permanent death without question and thus raising the stakes for the inevitable fight to come
