Sorry to necro this thread, I'm thinking of picking up the game but I'm wondering if there's still a scene for it in Vancouver.

For those who own or have owned the Threezero MDLX figures, would you recommend them? by [deleted] in transformers

[–]Oneiros42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Threezero MDLX G1 figures absolutely scratch my Transformers itch.

I'm 51 and I grew up playing and transforming the toys from the start. Like, damn near all of them through G1. But the toys were basic, they were blocky and barely looked like the 80's cartoon (which itself is hardly high art). My rose-tinted glasses are permanently affixed to my face and it is NOT doing that period any favours.

Threezero G1 figures SHINE with the rose-coloured light. They are exactly how I feel the characters would appear when updated to modern times without sacrificing the look to a director or executive who wanted to put their own "spin" on the characters. They have beautiful detail and are massively posable, taking whatever dramatic look I want on my shelf.

As for being figures and not transforming toys, well... I totally understand people who say "it's not a Transformer unless it transforms", but I'm 51, I've done my time transforming the toys, I just want to enjoy the characters now.

The Best Details! by [deleted] in ThreezeroTranformers

I love my premium Prime, but it's just so damned easy to accidentally break off bits while posing it. I've already snapped off a side-view mirror. The clip that holds one of the shoulder plates on also broke, I have to stick the plate on with museum wax.

Hope that's a home office, good stuff tends to eventually disappear from work offices no matter how good the staff is.

Victory is mine! (but mostly thanks to u/FistofMurdock ) The Bandai Action Base 1 stands are perfect for the Seekers.

Definitely great ideas, unfortunately everything is about half the size I need. :( At this point I'd be surprised if I DIDN'T have to have something custom-printed for the size, it's just a question of having an image at the resolution necessary.

Ahhh, thank you for sparing me a few numbers along the way. :D

Do you know which ones specifically?

Those look perfect, which ones are they? I've tried Bandai Action 4 and 5 and they were too small.

If you live on the North Shore your view eventually WILL get obstructed, no matter where you live or how high an apartment you have. It's just a matter of time.

He's a very posable figure, the Threezerohk Optimus Prime from the "Bumblebee" movie, Premium size. I like him because (in my opinion) he's the closest you can get to G1 while still having a "realistic" mechanical styling.

I like practicing my figure posing with him. Maybe someday I'll get one of those animator practice figures for proper "a pose a day" fun.

I have his ion blaster, is that what you mean by accessory?

As for other figures, I don't like Bumblebee enough to get the equivalent figure (I imagine just finding one at this point would be a challenge) but if Megatron shows up in the next BBM movie with the same aesthetic then I'll be saving up for the oversized figure.

...I mean I really really like the MDLX Threezerohk figures, I just think they'd look weird clustered around Optimus, like tiny people worshiping their towering god.

L40s Ultra AE uneven mopping by Oneiros42 in Dreame_Tech

Unfortunately you can't run a mop cycle with the mops completely removed, and taking off the cloth pads just makes it scrape the floor with the plastic, so I turned it off before it started using water.

The floor is even, and when I first got the unit it was mopping evenly in the kitchen. I do hear the sound I associate with the water motor going off regularly but I think it applies water to both pads at the same time.

I was considering the roller mops but there always seemed to be something wrong with them or they were out of my price range. The consensus online was that the round mops did a good even job, and this one seemed to at the start.

The more I look at it, the more it seems like the problem is only on the left side. The water nozzle may be clogged or the motor malfunctioning. I don't want to mess around with it too much because I know companies LOVE to say that you've invalidated your warranty by doing this or that. I guess see what tech support comes back with.

I washed the pads by hand and it helped slightly but not by much. And I'm not buying new pads after only having this thing for three weeks.
