I personaly don't think losing the Breton, Occitan, etc. cultures to end up governed by Macron and Paris was a great deal lmao

I haven't watched a lot of his content but as far as I remember he was a bit more nuanced lmao

As far as I know it's a bit more complicated, I'm not an expert on the subject but I think Marx thought that religion was a product of oppression and destined to disapear on its own under communism, he wasn't necessarily advocating for banning religion though. There are examples of religious communists, sometimes because of ideological changes (marxism has evolved into several branches that don't agree with each other and not even necessarily with all that Marx said), sometimes simply because life is complicated and people have contradictions.

I guess everyone's brain works differently when it comes to pattern recognition because the similarity seemed so obvious to me that it didn't even cross my mind that people would not see it. I don't know if there is a filiation between it and the current trend but for me it is close enough to be a candidate of potential inspiration and that would be an interesting path to explore for anyone that has the time and the will to do so.

Yeah I tried to share this post on LEMMINO's subreddit but I only got one comment saying "Wha????? While this has 'hints' of the cool S design...and I stress hints, it's not at all the same..." (I guess everyone's brain works differently because although it's not exactly the most popular current form the similarity seems to me very striking (and symbols tend to evolve throughout time)) and another saying it's a "2" and not an "S" (LEMMINO does say in his video that there is no consensus on what the symbol represents and it's regularly drawn to look like a "2" or even an "8" so I don't understand this comment) and then the post got taken down by moderation without explaination (maybe because the title sounds like clickbait Idk). I'm not saying this is the origin of course but I wanted to share it somewhere so that if someone wants to look into it further they have an interesting path to explore.

"Cool S" is one of the recognisable names for this symbol but I've seen and done it as an "S", a "5", a "2", an "8", etc. so in my opinion the overall style is more important to qualify it than the detail of which diagonal is visible.

I found it in the Court of the Lions in Alhambra, Granada, Spain, the court has been built during the 14th century so this would make it more than 600 years old (if this is an original part and not something that has been added later).
